A Standing Ovation

Hear ye, hear ye!

The excited man fumbled for the microphone

And started to speak in an elated tone

He announced to the world that he had it all

As he stood proudly on his gargantuan stage

But then the stage began to crumble and fall

Because of the crowd’s sudden burst of rage

He implored them to stop, he tried in vain to beg

But his faint pleas got overtaken by all the screaming instead

So they shout “Get off the stage, you pompous fool!

And ” Go to hell, you miserable old tool!”

As the bloodthirsty beasts began to tear him apart

No one noticed a single voice, lost in their steady cadence

“You may have everything,” the figure uttered as he started to depart

“But one thing that you’ll never have is the approval of the audience.”

Cardiovascular Infection

All my limbs feel paralysed from the liquid you injected

I think my blood stopped flowing but I never interjected

You said it would make me feel better, because my heart was sick

But I never knew that your own heart was atrophic

And I also failed to know that your overused needle’s already rusted

So tetanus struck me very hard and left me cold and dead.

Welcome to the Vmbralvm Asylvm

In a cramped room of killers and crimson rust

Empty eyes staring, livid faces mistaken

Creatures haunted by the voices of the gory past

No longer humans, but shambolic souls broken

.

Toxicity, poison, venom, and archaic lies

Whispered, hissed, purred ever so sullenly

Despicable madness and hapless cries

Ringing out, crying, screaming for me

.

Frail squalid hands constantly reaching

Against the tenebrific void of the cells

Cautionary tales desperately begging

To get them out of this version of Hell

.

What is white? What is black?

The lines of love and purity start to crack

Moral compasses spin wildly and weather vanes fly

Veering off in directions that no one dares try

.

Possession, an illness, a disease to society

A plague that should be contained, that’s all they’re perceived

White demons with no wings and halo forcing them a cure

The fallen ones, injections and magic tricks are all they endure

.

Decaying skins and bleached bones exposed so bare

Scarred minds so torn and arcane thoughts so rare

Tongues so sharp yet clockwork hearts so dull

Their reality and universe ever so null

.

Immortal sins, did it taste so good?

Seeing humans as their toys and corruption as their food?

They didn’t know, what else can they blame

Only the friction in their sanity that started the flames

.

Trying to save what they’ve left behind

Traded their senses to peddle endless thoughts unkind

They used to be on thrones, indestructible kings

But their exacerbated ail, only anarchy did it bring

.

Just how soon would they ever know

If not for their pedantic, neurotic minds?

Did they reap what they sow?

Have they lost what they should find?

.

They come here for payment, their chains clanking harsh

For their final judgement, crimes written on stars

Isolation, reclusion, they’re just simply thrown away

Hoping for when they can see the light of the day

.

Now say goodbye to the world that shunned you off

Now you’re part of us misfits that even God has scoffed

The dystopic asylum is demented, no soul here alive anymore

No more than pierrots, jokers, and harlequins with chasmic cores.

Sovereign Putrescence

All the dukes and duchesses, off with their pretty heads

And kings and queens, all royal blood will dance in their deathbeds

And those who dare defy and rule with an iron fist

Shall be stripped of their power and to the bloodlust public released

And what is the meaning of equal, when the humans all thirst

For utter power and dominance over others, to be the very first?

And to give the masses power, might just be the ideal suggestion

If only there weren’t so many huge loopholes leading to corruption

Is there anyone at all could find a proper and just solution

And stop giving the way of rule a rotten definition?

But for all the clever geniuses and philanthropists in the world

They get overlapped by the gullible and the megalomaniac’s words

And from this army against, only endless war can wage

Until we are extinct, until the world only passes a crimson age

If only we would stop giving way to those who condescend unfairly

Then maybe the pureness of the world wouldn’t be lost in a government of idiocracy.

Floral Attraction

Perhaps I should apologise

For handing you a bouquet of lies

At first they blustered with loud colours

But time is the enemy and faded them into dour

And now the sharp thorns rage unstoppably

Intertwined around your arms and legs very painfully

And now you scream and call me a liar

And yet you hold the trowel and the fertiliser

Honestly, it was your fault for watering and tending them

Hoping that a flower blooming from the weeds would soon happen

So should I say sorry to you and quit my business?

But then again, I’m a pretty damn good florist.

Cosmic Trailblazing

~*~

Auroras touch my soul with limerence

Its nebulae touching my eyes, unknown

Glowing with utter incandescence

Like glimmering bubbles carefully blown

Iridescent, flowing with chromaticity

And yes, only ephemeral, sadly.

~*~

I’m sondering in solitude

Tasting the petrichor, the smell of grass

As luminescence passes slowly by

The planets in syzygy onto the sky

Serenity, comforted by the ethereal light

The darkness around me, yet enflames my heart alight.

~*~

Dusk kisses the skies, twilight set

Painting a kaleidoscopic sunset

The world turns tenebrific, yet worry not

For the moon and the universe blazes hot

Let the constellations bid you a safe goodnight

And tomorrow the dawn shall be your delight.

~*~

Bask upon the heavenly stars, you infer

And serendipity just might occur

A fleeting shooting star graces on by

So you whisper a wish, and bid your goodbyes

And perhaps, just perhaps, it’ll whisper back an epiphany

A secret of the universe, so oblivion you could no longer see.

~*~

I’m caged in an entropic, caliginous wormhole

You spread your wings and dash freely by

My angel, I breathe your name, I scream and call

And yet all you could do is watch and cry

But someday, I’ll break free, and you’ll hazard a trip inside

And together we’ll dissolve into the event horizon side by side.

~*~
