Childish Traces

his laughter

and wavering

soft heartbeat,

and lingering

fragrances of

her lilac scent

caught between

my calloused,

trembly hands;

the sensations

and stories on

my fingertips

reminding me

of innocence

once lost, and

a purity to still

be preserved.
