Simple Explanation

I.) Mismatched Cultures And Dead Parents

He’s got a bullet where his brain should be

And broken toys where a heart should beat

The stripes on his sweater had begun to fade

The nostalgic photographs lied except for one

So he’s turned to smoke to keep himself awake

And he’s turned to secrets to keep himself alive

But it wasn’t enough to save him from phantoms

Now he’s carried on the wrong side of the casket

No one saw it coming; no one can figure him out

Whispers of self-sacrifice, but quiet murder hung

Of the boy who played with fire but didn’t put it out

It was a mystery—it didn’t make sense to anyone but him.

~*~

II.) False Cancer And A Secret Trip To Rio

A dying man seconds away from his final breath

And his wife by the bedside that couldn’t take any

Collapsed on the floor, the debilitated cried for help

Of what seemed to be a miracle, a feigned recovery

They would die for the other, just another ancient lie

There’s no love without guilt and no guilt without love

The operating table was prepped for a wrongful death

To save the irreparable, it’s too late for her, but not him

The grief was mistaken and the medicine was not taking

All because of a surreptitious slip to a beach without sun

He lived to tell the tale of how she flatlined before his eyes

Under premises of a truth confessed too late, and what it had done.

A Phantom Earl’s Missing Shadow

Two halves of a heart, in a chamber conferred

A though lost in shadows, the coffin of a womb

Two souls rendered apart, deathwish conspired

The first went away, the second did as he desired

.

A past of flames and treachery, daggers blooming red

Family shattered to pieces, innocent boys left for dead

A sacrifice undertaken, and a contract written in blood

Twists and turnstiles turned, execution of the death gods

.

A play set in stone, of clones and four leaf clovers

Names merged together, cascade grey and lavender

A life taken for his own, for the person he thus lost

Never mind the consequences and dignity it has cost

.

The ruse would’ve been clandestine, but the other found out

And he returned to take back the key in the padlock of doubt

Their shock tangibly pulsating, as the reunited twins collided

Truth uncovered from a well of lies, leaving them confounded

.

A story of two rival fates, their inheritance set by a deliberation of wolves

The tale revolves in a case turned cold, and mysteries remained unsolved

Of a  boy and his uncanny copy, what their damned trails may both befell

Whether the end of the story hangs by a thread or a rope, only time will tell.

Hurt

“Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame.”

~*~

Dear Mr. Warrior

The war is over

An adventure

Of three men

Quite clever

In a quest for

Their home to

Be the saviour

You stood guard

To battle though

You can’t forget

You still forgive

With satisfying

Regenerations

And an ending

Of a marvellous

Peaceful painting.

.

Dear Mr. Ollivander

The battle is over

You’ve done well

To guide Mr. Potter

Curious young man

He was entranced

With good reason

With your wands

So finely created

For the final stand

Of evil reincarnated

And thus fell darkness

Saving the wizard world

From being defenceless.

.

Dear Mr. John Hurt, sire

You shall hurt no longer

This legacy you’ve left

Has never been stronger

With your entertainment

And your elegant talents

A prolific skill and roster

Films of sheer diversity

Your characters strange

In their own set stages

Faces finely well played

Performance for the ages

My dear Mr. Hurt, good sir

Your life has been a rose

It’s time to take the final call

Upstairs, may you peacefully repose.

When The Madman Stole Her Away

She was just another broken machine

With a lacklustre life and a weary sheen

But all that changed, blue turned to fay

When the madman stole her away

.

He travelled with her, grinning in bliss

Through golden time and silver galaxies

She promised she would, said he’d play

When the madman stole her away

.

She’s witnessed both his hearts break

Watched aliens trapped with no escape

Time and time, she has saved the day

When the madman stole her away

.

She is powerful, impossible, antithesis

Cause for when the universe freezes

Immaculate, tacky, sexy, he daresays

When the madman stole her away

.

She’s been hurt, bruised, and kidnapped

Tossed around and led to a fruitless stop

Banged up, hit, slammed, but she is okay

When the madman stole her away

.

Varying strangers have always come and gone

Marvelled in awe, basked in her heart and charm

But in the end, it’s always her and the madman to stay

When the Time Lord Doctor stole the TARDIS away.

Shapeshifter

Layers of human muscle and skin that I do not own hide the grotesque creature within

As I carry on outside with a different life, following the normalities and smiling politely

But if my deception ever gets found out, I drastically change, to pay for my ultimate sins

A painful transformation, ripping teeth, organs, and morphing bones apart to another false identity.

It’s quite an interesting roster of visceral macabre characters

In a banger backdrop of a demented rundown asylum within

Now you’ve met the familiar faces, what are we all waiting for?

Let the grim spotlights flicker off and Briarcliff’s horrorshow begin!

The Marauders’ Ode

The dead of the night in whispers “I solemnly swear that I’m up to no good”

Four friends quietly remark elatedly under the invisibility cloak’s hood

Thin ink lines appear in the parchment, and a complex map will unfold

A clever little foolproof trick that only they’ll be able to use and decode

Four friends on the wildest adventure, breaking rules and breaking ennui

Mad marauders making magical mischief and the messiest of melody

The untold heroes with the bravest hearts, silent legends in the academy

And they won’t cease with their fun, mischief-making, and camaraderie

Moony, Padfoot, Prongs, and Wormtail are out to take the world on a rampage

And afterwards, when lumos turns to nox, they return, and…mischief managed.

Will Graham

Once peaceful in isolation

Will, are you sure you’re okay?

You don’t seem at all fine

When Jack told you to go play

.

Did Jack push you over too far

And made you stumble over?

Did Alana take your choked heart

And pluck it like a four-leaf clover?

.

Are you still dreaming noises?

What has happened to your head?

Did you listen to the mad voices?

Did you follow what they said?

.

Has your time run out for you?

Grains of sand off the hourglass

But the devil didn’t want you to know

Psychiatrist peppered in stardust

.

Are you over with this mad game?

Cat and mouse with Mr. Lecter

Checkmate sets the King aflame

But he moves both sides of the picture

.

Why did you let Jack control you?

Why did you let Mr. Lecter fool you?

Will, now what seems to be the matter?

Is your sanity crumbling like Graham crackers?

The Beast Below

A gargantuan soul, species the very last of its kind

A body of peach and golden intention in its mind

A lonely old heart, yet with a nature quite gentle

Despite our cruelty, carried still the burden it fell

Further deep down, where its love has sustained

The dreams we keep and the world we remained

We sleep sound, and breathe easy, and we thus grow

Live on, rest calm, supported by the benevolent beast below.
