Honesty sold-out at face value, the price you pay for distance

The depth of your wounds can’t be measured by the doctors in the ambulance

Complicate my rising lungs and grip my falling chestnut hair

Sleep in, I won’t keep bleeding out dreams if I know you’re always right there

This battle is yours to expiate, with every star there is to count

As multitudinous as the silver glistening in your face, an ebony ink tantamount

You’re regressing back to the rejected days of golden senescence

I wouldn’t let go of the only part of my life that makes any semblance of a sense.

It All Falls Apart

I wish I could, but I don’t always
Keep the promises I’ve kept
I wish I could, but I can’t always
Give whatever I have left
And now it’s all so clear, doesn’t anyone
See what’s happening here?

~*~

Put me back together, just another plea unheard

Walking away from tragedy, walking with the truth

For elastic tongues can deceive us no longer

Collapsing narcolepsy is a premise for the fervour

.

Time had a deadline, and we’re not built to last

Every time I look back is just a bullet from the past

Reminded of the way it was before the war began

And ended with waste and sorrow, and a broken man

.

The space, the divide, the disconnected furrows

This time as we fired the shots, we made sure to be thorough

Didn’t give me a choice, just a white flag to surrender

Shouting seventh chances from another graceless pretender

.

What could I have done? What would you choose?

I was so ready to give it up, though I didn’t want to lose

What was there to take? Was there anything to fix?

I was paying for my dirty crime with capricious tricks

.

Everything I am, reduced now to what I once was

Blood on my words and on my hands, unremarkable and crass

What can’t be forgiven now lays in a grave so shallow

Who knew that when everything falls apart, it leaves a scar so hollow.

~*~

It falls apart form the very start, it falls apart
Seems like everything I touch falls apart
Everything around me falls apart
When I walk away from you…

A Mouse in the Kingdom of Lions

All eyes on me, castles falling
Glory, glory, I’ll rise like a one man army
I don’t wanna die without living
I can’t fight without winning
All eyes on me, I’ll rise like a one man army…

~*~

In these destroyed ruins I stand in eulogy, beating the drum

For the voice of dead angels and the harps left unstrummed

Corrupted blood rains down in blizzards of prideful torrents

This efficacious fight’s dishonour gradually refusing to relent

.

So proclaim me wrong, devour this bravery to the starving wolves

For deceit and manipulation is the singular truth I’ll boldly uphold

Attention wrought to the tumultuous voices of the silent anarchists

Uncivil battles engaging against the flames of the contrite arsonists

.

Was thus my gullible sin? Have I persuaded concentric fools yet again?

Dost I have to beg mocking demons just to return to my fallen Heaven?

False, it exists only within old locked towers, behind walls of a fantasy

Hell is a decadent salvation, the final hour’s reverence and only mercy

.

Shards of glass cruelly beleaguering my gregarious scars and wounds

Forgiveness as unforgiving as the darker repasts of the eclipsed moon

The dagger I hold is a facsimile of my humble chivalrous restorations

I’m but another violent visionary rejecting sheer valiance of perdition

.

So reap my damaged soul, for it’s already damned in sacrificial benevolence

And such tempest has defied my will, as it pilfered my crumbling innocence

Yet I shall raise my poisoned sword, nay to my chest, but to my heavy chains

In this kingdom of a wasteland I have created, only the defeated shall remain.

~*~

Even when we’re lost
It doesn’t have to mean we’re losing
I will overcome if I fight now, right now
Never fear, never fall, never giving up
‘Til you give me what I came for
I’m through with all the time I’ve wasted
Battle stations…

Praying for Artillery

Staring at the carnage
Praying that the sun would never rise
Living another day in disguise
These feelings can’t be right
Lend me your courage to stand up and fight…

~*~

Another timeline

Of anarchists

Next in line

To the pacifists

Veins taut strung

In severed struggle

By a nerve hung

On a concrete hell

The battle wages

As artillery collides

Soldier skin ages

The war overrides

As faint cries ricochet

With flying bullets

Penetrating humanity

A full metal jacket

Casualties go nuclear

And the end decrees

All that’s left are

Shrapnel and debris

Black radio mourns

And flags are burned

A somnolent horn

Bloody backs turned

Another timeline

Of both futile armies

Attempting to define

The lost meaning of peace.

~*~

Fight for honor, fight for your life
Pray to God that our side is right
Even though we won, I still may lose
Until I make it home to you…

Liar, Liar

You don’t like me

I’m a chronic liar

A shared disease

Confessing to friars

I’m just pretending

To burn the words

Down into my veins

Under your world

Because I’m so cool

An untouchable ace

Expendable as rule

Refined with grace

In bloodied fingers

And second guesses

For pain and truths

And stupid messes

But the effect is red

With your sweet talk

I will take my cake

And fucking walk

Do you wanna stop?

We’ve only started

So fill up your cup

This battle departed

I’ll be goddamn fine

Don’t listen to whine

Shrug it away, then

Oops, I’m lying again

My guns are blazing

Like the fire I sit upon

You’ll be sorry, darling

And I’ll bask with scorn

La-la-la-la-lies, lies, lies

I’m not listening today

La-la-la-lie some more

Why don’t you go away?

But just smile, my dear girl

There’s some fun in our war

Let’s play the game fair, and

Be careful what you wish for.

New-Wave Destroyers

Don’t believe what they say
We’re dead flies in the summertime
They leave us all behind
With duct tape scars on my honey
They don’t like who you are
You won’t like where we’ll go
Brother protect me now
With blood they wash in the money…

~*~

Strangle us with incentives of emotion

Thirst for rage and summer vacations

Of war and fear and stolen battlefields

Grenades of colour against boundaries

.

Counting all the sand on the ocean bed

Swings back and forth in bloodshot red

And artless arteries, glass shards on lips

Dangling in graves, on blasé techniques

.

Teenager heart attacks and money kiss

Smoke alarms dancing and burnt police

Screaming of trigger and severed hands

Dying sun begs us please to understand

.

A new trend of guns on cathedral steps

Torn to rubbles, a painted agonist mess

It’s no communication, just ammunition

Anarchy believers swallowed confusion

.

We taste metal like eating nine inch nails

As the remedy is waning away our scales

We love the feeling that you get as you die

So let’s just have some fucking fun tonight!

~*~

You don’t believe in God
I don’t believe in luck
They don’t believe in us
But I believe we’re the enemy!
Destroya! Destroya! Destroya!
Destroya! Destroya! Destroya!
Against the sun we’re the enemy!

Vena Amoris

Your wedding ring

Is cutting off your circulation

A blue diamond bling

Accentuating infatuated poison

Your fingers as purple

As the fresh bruises on your neck

If love was an accident

You’re headed for a train wreck

A thin band of silver

Stab your heart and wish to die

Red lines on your skin

If that’s your wish darling, I will try

Consummate turns rancid

Domestic turns into souls recluse

Passion becomes acid

A battle of fists and verbal abuse

On a homely warfield

In sickness and in health alike

That vein pumps blood

But when it finally ceases beating

So will your love.

Heroes of War

A hero of war, yeah, that’s what I’ll be
And when I come home, they’ll be damn proud of me
I’ll carry this flag to the grave if I must
‘Cause it’s a flag that I love and a flag that I trust…

~*~

The soldiers and the veterans

Huddled amongst the trenches

A million ways to live and die

One bullet to end the defences

.

Enlist for force, family, money

Join the violence, join entropy

Against enemy guns captured

Sail half-mast for the tortured

.

The nights drowned the moon

Severed limbs and heads torn

As artillery enters another one

Past through bandages shorn

.

For the flag and for the country

For their citizens and everyone

The battle rages, war for peace

Of weapons, metal and human

.

Thus the garrison marches on

Dale high and through the tide

The military sings their songs

Say their deaths awaited pride

.

A thousand bodies all decaying

A thousand names all forgotten

A thousand families all mourned

A hundred survivors all ignored

.

But all the soldiers and the veterans

Won’t live forever to answer our call

And medals will not return our glory

They only fade as another hero falls.

A Mutually Self-Destructive Alliance

We could be perfect one last night
And die like starcrossed lovers when we fight
And we could settle this affair
If you would shed your yellow
Take my hand and then we’ll solve
The mystery of laceration gravity
This riddle of revenge
Please understand that it has to be this way…

~*~

He’s a tough beast losing a war with his vainglorious demons

When he’s fucking around in the unused abandoned dormitory

His rage thirsts for agony, and his smile is a paranoid paradox

No number of free kisses will fully bury his graveyard misery

.

She’s a delicate Amazonian winning a battle for the demons

When she’s fucking around in the flat with infinite vacancies

Picking bones from her teeth, spitting gristle in snarled smile

No amount of free pleading will make her surrender so easily

.

They’re two faithed allies trading ten thousand filthy lies to save their skins

When they’re both fucking around in the empty carpark of a crumbling hotel

Smiles bared and taut, as information flows freely, trading vendetta and sins

If the belligerence goes down, they know at least they’ll both go straight to hell.

~*~

Stand! Up fucking tall
Don’t let them see your back and
Take! My fucking hand
And never be afraid again…

An Epitaph For The Celestial Marching Mercenaries Of The Final Apocalypse

The pious mercenary calling

Ivory halos bent and broken

Freedom, they were waging

With the price of lives stolen.

~faded tombstone inscription

~*~

The hooves came thundering one day, the pale blue horizon turned a foreboding scarlet

As four harbingers arrived, doing damage and causing War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death

The Ultimate Evil broke free from his fettered state, rose in power from the chains and ashes

The end was nigh, anarchy was high, until the skies opened up, and down flew the mercenaries

.

The immaculate mercenaries have come dawning upon our land today

Creating silent storms with their inexorable wings of pure liquid gold

Iridescent forms, fragile butterfly swords dipped in the blood of God

Legends from the end of a century troubadours failed to have foretold

.

Sheaths unravelling and suspended upon the silken strings of calling

Fundamental foundations on which this warring viridian planet o’er lay

For these cavalier soldiers fought and rallied against the stars falling

And saved restless cadavers from treason and potential further decay

.

Celestial hierarchy in motion, choirs of cherubim, seraphs, archangels

Sanctity of the war, exhibition like the clashing forces of moon and sun

White robed guardians arched in a delicate art of finesse, even in battle

Against the austerity of chthonic snarling demons, caliginous as they run

.

An empire of clattering bones and dripped silvery blood and carnage

Ashes choking the northeast breeze along with static crepuscular image

Stones cast whereupon heroes and kings once toasted glass in victory

The tainted lights of the sunset in a thousand days of a darkened glory

.

Holy weapons disintegrating the darkness, wield halos and hand grenades

Line after line of fiends are struck down, interlocked in a contrite parade

In the black and white of the opposed legions, thus occurred a stalemate

It seemed, for just a scintilla moment, that the better had won in this state

.

Yet when the eleventh hour struck, the stained battlefield was wrought

Half the army has gone to waste, and the other half left to fled for good

One survived, a lone figure in brutal combat, the shadows it still fought

Feathers plucked clean raining like hail, yet still, he relentlessly stood

.

Staring upon the paramount beast, standing drenched, shivering in turbid Stygian waters

Looking headlong into his glaring chaotic eyes, mocking, cackling, loathing splattered

A singular hope surged upon his severed veins, energy by grace of God’s dissemination

And with a last leap of faith and roar, he dashed past with broken wings to finish the book of revelation

.

The final frontier has been appended, and the end is a pyrrhic victory with irreparable losses

A defended vengeful side for an unknown singular cause, cost total obliteration to the masses

A valley of casualties lain like a tainted painting, from which artists dare not lay upon the canvas

With the sun burnt out, an frigid winter blanketed Gaia, and Elysium’s throne waited empty, alas!

.

Unsure of who gained the upper hand in this ordeal, a semblance of Heaven and Hell’s last swan song

In pace requiescat, a whisper carried by the last wind, bereft and morose, onto the gales forlorn and strong

And tet all that remains of this violent sordid affair is torn fragments of a yellowing parchment

Yet I tell this tale now, eulogy writ in my own quill and liquid; and I shall raise a glass, a spirit for the spirits

.

So lay a crimson rose in the graves of the bravest men, the fallen comrades, the stalwart mercenaries

Those loyal divine battalions who left paradise to purvey zealous souls against obstreperous enemies

Future hope woebegone, and may they rest in peace forevermore, for they have died, yet not completely in vain

I write this final epitaph for my beloved lost children, may their bold hearts ascend back to the kingdom of heaven once again.
