bubblegum heart

bubblegum heart

popping again

sweet to the bone

until it tastes bland

like a bitter stone

.

bubblegum heart

stretch me out

sugar against enamel

chew out the pink

and blow me up

.

bubblegum heart

are your jaws getting tired?

of all the senseless natter

wasted efforts partaken

over such a saccharine matter

.

bubblegum heart

i’ll get stuck in your teeth

you can stick me under your desk

but you won’t get rid of

the nasty cavities.

Lies in Jewelry Boxes

Your sophism was a true talent

Which I was rather envious of

Lacing my tongue like hemlock

Its toxicity I’ve learned to love

Diamond lies glimmer lethally

I mined it out of your arteries

Coruscating past an acid flesh

Transpiercing it all desultorily

Who am I to cease your whims?

Cuffs bejeweled with gold voices

So offer me rubies and sapphires

If you feel precious and helpless

Faux phantasm you think succinct

Painting an entity bland and bleak

And I was a fool to let you think I am

You didn’t have to lie to be the higher man.

empty eyes

am i really that

insignificant?

am i really that

trivially scant?

am i really that

inconsequential?

am i really that

not too special?

am i really that

unnoticeable?

tell me, am i really

that i/n/v/i/s/i/b/l/e?
