Pretty Little Thing

Right before you fly you fix the broken wings of
Everything that carries you forward now
Patching up the holes remaining in your word now
I start to question what is real or not, pick apart my every thought
Dig in to a dark place, bury the thought of your face…

~*~

A wish to avoid a blatant lie

To a spine with broken bones

Waiting for retaliation in the

Shape of a forsaken home

.

As mirrors began to whisper

About the drama that unfolded

It all tasted like high tension

Keeping her weak wings faded

.

Fingers forward, burying blame

Twitching petals, her lavish name

Draped in linen, maiden serenity

Masquerading a sorrowful calamity

.

Of an oil painting melting away

In the warmth of this winter fire

Lost palettes ebbing and arching

An abandoned masterpiece dire

.

Grim faces arrested in quiet disgust

As snow fell and tainted mordant black

Onto the pallbearers dressed in drab

Carrying away an eternal chill in her heart.

~*~
Pretty little thing, you know the way to make me weak
But I’ll stand on my own feet
Shame on you for hitting where it most hurts
Shame on me for listening
Pretty little thing, I think you better turn away
My attention is ending…

Circus Of The Unseen

“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. The black sign, painted in white letters that hangs upon the gate, reads: Opens at Nightfall. Closes at dawn.” ~The Night Circus; Erin Morgernstern

Blood Clots and Black Holes

Here’s your new drug, shoot it in the left eye
Feel it on the right side, no it’s not love
Though it sets up shop behind your ribcage
Building blood clots and black holes
Like using an axe to pull a sliver from your skin…

~*~

Unresponsive desolation, paralysed in blood and cement

Reactions set to explode, evidences execution half-meant

Excerpts of a circumvented verse, misguided boundaries

Pulses worn, reciting reasons for the living in cemeteries

Incompatible, undesirable, infiltrate my cataclysmic rain

Under issued influences, heroin and butane shot for pain

Crashing manifestos, an intervention set to fucking burn

There’s no point to reflect if there’s nothing to be learned

Covenant of injuries, gregarious dimensions disembodied

Bedraggled carcass averting headlights, a contingency bid

Cold condescension will only covet unconsented concerns

Wasted like a question mark, duplicated hemispheres torn

Bullets traded for breathing soldiers, a parasitic symphony

Beneath the facade of a tranquil noir, an indelible calamity

Again the fugitives sink in violent vices, composed in ashes

My perverse altercation is but an alibi under my rotted flesh.

~*~

And they say this is medicine
An overdose of oxygen
A severed head as sedative
To be at peace would be a sin
And surely un-american
I’m breaking down…

Signal Number Four

Don’t stop now, though the motion sickness has you
Spinning out, ’cause you’re on your way
Oh, my friend, just look how far you’ve come and
Think twice before you go and throw it all away…

~*~

You’re on your way to the hemisphere

Then discard your self-destructive fear

It’s manic but don’t panic, oh calamity

Doomed typhoons pick up your sanity

.

You’re in pieces dashed at the tidal waves

Tsunami and dizzy hurricanes you saved

Caught up in rampant and torrential rains

Hoping that they could rescue your remains

.

If this is a storm, then where’s the casualty?

Drenched in common colds of catastrophe

Thunder screams at the back of your head

But the lightning never follows close ahead.

WELTSCHMERZ

There’s a constricting tug-of-war within my heart

Arteries painfully pulling veins against my blood

Desperate to gain the upper hand for my emotions

But both end up losing, falling, and covered in mud.

SCHADENFREUDE

That’s a goddamn stripclub travesty

Dear, not my suicide bedroom scene

So don’t break in a fucked soliloquy

That’ll break this automatic machine.

SEHNSUCHT

Nothing but demarcation on magnanimous affairs

The indisposition scurrilous of a conniption share

If I commiserate my pretense for synaptic humans

Will they hold my head under to inject tryptophan?

~*~

MUTTERSEELENALLEIN

I repudiated my own self-blames

I’ll shut the closet, elucidate this game

If I emancipate my bastard whim

Shall it be considered a cavalcade sin?

~*~

ANSTÜRMEN

Calamity, that’s my designated appellation’s lacklustre

I’m a raging typhoon tantrum, an unmitigated disaster

I wreck lives, dishevel memories, or command discord

So stay away from me, I can ruin you with mere words.

Maelstrom Undeniable

I.

The storm it stood, vortex eyes peering

Madness swirling, ever leering

Buildings, hope, torn to minute shreds

Merciless, vengeful, death lies ahead

II.

Cries huddled under dislodging houses

Cowering, simpering, begging endless

Days of golden threads naught stand

Fragile unbroken cords of hands

III.

Screaming tempest bore resemblance

Agony whispered from a distance

Crimson smeared on shearing zephyr

Marks left by calamities last forever.
