Zephyros

She looks at the rain

And she sees a hurt sky

Trying to tell her about

The woes it hides behind

Its silver-lined clouds.

.

She’s the only one

Who perceives beyond

The slate arctic weather

And feels the woes melting

Into reveries behind her eyelids.

.

She’s the only one

Who looks at the rain

And she’s the only one

Who listens.

aim high, armstrong

cling to

your flimsy

clouds like

you wouldn’t

fall anyway—

and i’ll keep

my feet dancing

over the moon

and beyond

the stars.

Milk & Candy

Bone-white laces purple throngs

And soft liquid intertwines along

Past the fragile webs of chandeliers

Dissolving clouds in pure ivory tears

A taint of lavender like small ocean waves

Kisses empty blankness with sweeter tastes.

Nephilim

i’m a thousand feet high

in a breathless paradise

and all i want to do is fall

.

but my shoulder blades

are bare and featherless

and my halo is but a faux

story in fairy tale books;

never broken, unexisting

.

so i tiptoe off the edge

of that endless blue

and i wait for the night to

let my jaded soul go

.

and i quietly whisper to

the clouds, the wind, and the stars

“please don’t catch me again.”

Hey, Sky Eyes

Drop it right now
You’re one of my favorite few
Can’t stop me right now
Like you’d even want to
What do I do?
You’re one of my favorite, can’t take it
You’re one of my favorite few…

~*~

Infatuation is a stupid word to use on you

And I am about as optimistic as a sinkhole

But these hands are clumsier as they deign

And nimbus clouds grow brighter as it falls

.

It’s out of hand, limerence aching for a getaway

Ecstatic until I’m plastic like dandelion sundays

I can’t be grounded out in the cold, so stay awake

I’ll hide the blush in my skin, if that’s what it takes

.

My dizzy head lies in double time, and my vision’s red

You’re too far from home, but that won’t stop the dead

And a half in my dried mouth, so I’ll keep on ad-libbing

Until every disaster hears the conversations still ongoing

.

The night is a black eye and the purple moon’s just jealous

As ready set stars in my head are restless and overzealous

And I never have time to play favourites when I feel down

I may be a thorn in your neck, but you’re my flower crown.

Saturni Ad Infinitum

~*~

CHANGE OF PACE

To see the clouds dragged down in vain

Another schism pulled away into disdain

An aftershock of cyanide writ in red letters

The austerity banished and again embittered.

~*~

MIKO

Disconnected dissension dwelt in maiden shrines

A lone voice seeks peace in a tempest of rigid design

In precarious erudition and fraudulent disputation

As her ebony tapestry is burned in laureate predilection.

DELLE PIOVERE

Recherche glistening in rusticated reveries of diamond dewdrops

An avalanche of labyrinthine dreams brimming to the cusp

Illicit, a monochrome heart searches tranquility in the midst of dissonance

Nihilism whispers for each staccato beat, as behind the pale moon, shadows dance in elegance.

TAKING BACK RED

Notches on the canvas that used to be the purest of white

Now reduced to common insanity, pilfering a virgin sight

Chagrined wish never uttered, held at the back of interface

And hope—against hope, that the ruptures will be erased.

CHASING FOR A GLIMPSE

Just tell me when you’re down, and we can go downtown

To paint the rain with auburn blues, draw on every smiley face a frown

Just tell me when you’re not alright, and we can stay all night

To pen about storms in chemical black, write until you take back the light.

Head in the Clouds

one day, i’ll fish a cloud

from the ocean of the glacial sky

and perhaps have a taste of

the candy blue firmament nigh

i’ll be spinning the wisps

between my playful fingers and

over my stained yet smiling teeth

oh, rain must taste so sweet

or maybe i’ll use the clouds to plumpen

my empty carnation silk pillowcase

and let the final quaint drizzles evanesce

along with my pastel dreams, leaving not a trace.

Will You Sleep Tonight?

(I.) Head in the Clouds

.

Cloud-stained blankets

A late-night house call

I’ll dream for you again

Dear, if I wake up at all

.

Nightmares dripping away

Under the bed, I will sweep

Dust and decayed reminisce

That was sealed under keep

.

I adore you quite senselessly

Every vein in my body fights

Am I just a distant memory

Or will you sleep tonight?

.

(II.) Eyes the Size of the Moon

.

You’re perfect like an asylum

Colourful ultraviolet madness

Nick in your smile, silver ring

Oh you’re an immaculate mess

.

With perfection of impossibility

You defy definition and gravity

A voice like coffee and caramel

Halo heaven holds my lost angel

.

I keep candy floss under my pillow

Like a firefly our fading bones ignite

(Sleep) Am I just a distant memory

(No more) Or will you sleep tonight?

.

(III.) Hearts Swinging on Empty Stars

.

Witness the death of a floral lust

Glittering teeth, arrogant sun rust

You withheld cold phantom glow

Swallowing crystal, raining snow

.

Hispanic hearts and a charm of gold

The stars are falling, so we were told

But don’t believe in truths and reality

Sleep me away, come repose with me

.

Darling, break every fracture in my body

And I’ll reach and turn off the moonlight

(Sleep) Am I just another distant memory

(No more) Or will you finally sleep tonight?

Eventide Theatrics

When my lines are empty

Scribbled with nil galaxy

Stolen negative energies

I reach to the sky, simply

Catch the shooting stars

Falling from your eyelids

Phosphoresce filling the

Cavities, of mine decrepit

Inkstained quills; and the

Glowing words resonating

Occupy parchment lacuna

Which I bled from my fate,

From your diamond tears

That you softly rain away

For me, illuming my fears

As planets begin a’ dancing

You convalesce, smile away

Reposing on clouds of icing

On a soporific midnight play.
