Blood Will Have Blood

The reverent situation embellished in derelict plinths

A monolithic monument for the glorious and the bold

Calm deceit that shackled itself by the crumbling base

Of the cavalier and honourables, now but history aged

Voices of the casualties pilfered from pernicious graves

What must be forgotten is an imprint of those who saved

The damned beaten down into the ground from which they lay

Sacrificing blood so clockwork eyes may live to see another war-bent day.

i heard he thinks he’s a god

I’m not looking for a savior, I have all that I need
And I don’t give a single fuck if god likes it or not
Your picture perfect legacy is quite so fucking disgusting
I put all my faith in your “one two three…”

~*~

your words are clean

but your mouth is dirty

and you have constipation

from your own numskull

if you’re so high, why are

your wings nonexistent

is it because you just need

to trample on the rest of us?

if you’re so heavenly, then

i’m prepared to go to hell

and congratulate the damned

for escaping your bullshit

‘cause if you think you’re all that,

then why don’t you go jack off

to the beat of your own chaste

fucking self-righteousness?

~*~

Be careful what you wish for
You just might get it
Set fire to your lungs and leave you
Choking on the ashes
You’re wasting all the oxygen
Blackballing but you can’t stop falling…

Escape From Hell

Or would you say that I had a part of it?
Well, I guess we’ll never know
Constant recovery
I see you choke and it takes my breath away
But all is good, we close our eyes
They all accept the lie…

~*~

Now, don’t you dare say I had any part of this

That assault was undisguised and remorseless

When the faces in the mirror melted into ghosts

If I can save our hunger, guess we’ll never know

.

Next up, constantly crossing staler thresholds of recovery

As I bruise my bones, uncertainty slips between my knees

Don’t stop, shaking and breaking against painful demands

And you could make the sugar taste like salt in your hands

.

Before the hearts of the heartless burn down the bloodless

Trapped in the spinning spokes, and crushed in failing tests

Neglect reckless ambivalence, amplify the screaming angels

Elusive degeneration suspended back to a contaminated hell

.

A procession of painkillers parading in my tumescent tongue

From carotid to clavicle, this concussion hits like a blank gun

Treachery will never leave your ears, no matter what the cost

The invalid and confined crawl in damned realms, forever lost

.

Reject habitual vindication, accept their saccharine lies that feed

To the unresponsive eyes craving desperately for what they need

And we’re tangled in this fucking mess our veins will never show

If I’m still innocent, if you could be saved, guess we’ll never know.

~*~

I let you down, and I started to run
Never meant to be your pain
Oh my god, what have I become?
Show me and show me the way back
Show me the way back home!

There’s Such a Word as Damnation, and I’ll be Your Role Model

Well you can hide a lot about yourself
But honey, what’re you gonna do?
And you can sleep in a coffin
But the past ain’t through with you
‘Cause we are all a bunch of liars
Tell me, baby, who do you wanna be?
And we are all about to sell it
‘Cause it’s tragic with a capital T…

~*~

We both promised, we both promised that we’ll be dead together

And watch the showering fireworks kill the sky at the end of November

We swallowed bullets in turn, hoping to spit them into diamonds

But we laughed too hard, spilled cheap champagne, choked on garrotes

.

We didn’t want, we didn’t want to hold hands all the way to suicide

We just wanted more than an automatic answering machine before we died

I disputed the grave, lights in nave, one more nightmare for you to save

But I walked away from the mausoleum doors, leaving all that I gave

.

So would you, so would you consider therapy even for a moment

For neurotics and martyrs and vagrants thinking they’re fucking heaven-sent

And dead Mary, quite contrary, I’ll be your lifeless little boy blue

Herding my sheep towards starved wolves, as if innocence was something new

.

And you’ll chant, and I chant, na na na now’s the time for all the killjoys

To wash the blood off their broken noses and scream until they break their voice

Collecting melancholy in notes of g and eyeliner verses of the apocalypse

Bruises and lipsticks melting together into a dangerous warpaint on their cheeks

.

One more time, one more time, let me listen to the prayers of the damned

I’m just another corpse decaying on the pew, preaching for predicament demand

And you’re the pastor that opened the stained chapel windows to let me in

We’re friends of hell, and I wish you well, thank you for welcoming all of my sins.

~*~

‘Cause we all wanna party when the funeral ends
And we all get together when we bury our friends
It’s been eight bitter years since I’ve been seeing your face
And you’re walking away, and I will die in this place…

The Decapitated Queen of La Brea and the Boy of her Nightmares (Hail, Suicide!)

I said, we’ll drown ourselves in misery tonight
White lies, you’ve worn out all your dancing shoes this time
Just give us war-worn lipstick, blood, and purifying flame
These eyes have had too much to drink again tonight
Black skies, we’ll douse ourselves in high explosive light
Just give us war-worn, I’ve been calling you all week for my shotgun!

~*~

I love your lips, and the way they bleed

Like dying throes of cold water orchids

Drive my heart like a spike in the ground

Along with the dead, it’ll be safe and sound

.

And the moon tears the marrow of our bones

And the teeth in our necks are razor stones

So take me to a church, and get me a doctor

The coursing venom won’t last any longer

.

I wear my pills on a bloodstained sleeve

If there’s a heaven waiting, I don’t believe

You hid a revolver gun on my ancient bible

Lock and load, the scripture spells out trouble

.

And the mark of the serpent is burning me

Nazareth is damned, call me Black Mary

Carve the tattoo for the switchblade saints

Die by the cross of the apparition’s taint

.

The séance under the spotlight is holding on

Bang bang! Goes the monitor, he’s fucking gone!

Emergency alert, the red lights flash and spin

This institutional madness is fucking caving in!

.

Horror in my decayed lungs, glass in my falling nails

Banging against the coffin door rhythmic, hail, hail!

Bathe me in the arcane fires of an everlasting hell

And pray to the hurricane rain for another dry spell

.

Oh baby, the sun won’t be purified by your lipgloss

But if you tried to save us, it’s a threatening cause

Beat me fucked and correct the date on my grave

Tonight we’ll be insufferable, disgusted at the nave

.

I’m damned and broken, the saviour of the anthem

Decimating heroes with lobotomies and brain stems

This is a wedding party, bridegroom toasting cyanide

Marry to the end of the health and your death, I lied

.

And if they think you’ll be holding (they thought wrong)

Pick up the signs, make up your mind (you ain’t so gorgeous now)

You may be in exile, but don’t forget to smile (shine the light)

Drop the guns and have some fun, we’re stuck here a while (shit!)

.

So hear me out, my divine angel, dear graceless and corpse-fair

The blood’s drying in my mourning Sunday clothes I shall never wear

But the way my hands are shaking, I will never have a clean shot

So just hold it as tight as you can, and pull the trigger with all you’ve got.

~*~

Pick up the phone! Pick up the phone, fucker
I wanna see what your insides look like
(I wanna see what your insides look like)

I bet you’re not fucking pretty on the inside (not so pretty)
I wanna see what your insides look like (not so pretty baby)
I wanna see ’em (not so)…

Damned If I Do

And you’re the galantine
Cold and alone, it suits you well
Won’t find me perching here again
May your feet serve you well
And the rest be sent to Hell…

~*~

Curdled hearts

Taste like bitter blood

And faith in abandonment

Of a fantasia god

Celebrating cemeteries

Clutching wooden rosaries

Rose petals falling

Pews nearly splintering

Hymns of an invisible choir

A communion for liars

Cross the sacred threshold

Waters holy and gold

Under smoky haze of incense

Possessed of clear sense

The clergies light the fires

Ancient bells ring deep and dire

As impostors and martyrs

Write denials of vows

Announce the wedding march

The torment begins now

Damned if I don’t, damned if I do

Stained-glass cathedral virtue

Touch the ash on my skin

Atoning for my vices and sins

As the sermon thus decrees

All brought to their knees

Tight knots tied around our necks

Whisper amen to this wreck

Save me now, say that I’m wrong

That this is unforgivable desecration

Reviled under a lethal hilt

Speak now or forever hold guilt

Rings are buried, audience applauds

This matrimonial anarchy

Desperate for serpentine flood

Adam’s final attempt to flee

Preachers hiding the sacristans

Under glimpses of pure veil and rectories

To the altar I shall drag you away

For a fractured devil’s kiss.

Cold hearts brew colder songs
Fate will play us out
With a song of pure romance
Stomp your feet and clap your hands…

I May Be A Bastard, Baby, But You’re My Blasphemy

After all is said and done
Climb out from the pine box
Well I’m asking you
‘Cause she’s got nothing to say
The angels just cut out her tongue
Call her Black Mariah
Would I lie to you?
That girl’s not right in the brain!

~*~

I’m the desecrate devil

You’re a chemical angel

Damned in fake prayers

But I swear I mean well

Cold tax, burn chlorine

Drowns me in gasoline

Drag knives on my back

And hit me like a truck

My sophisticated alibis

Have no place in a world

Where each lie’s sweeter

And a lie’s in every word

So let’s play a long game

Let the apocrypha begin

We’re both fuck-insane

So you’re not apt to win

Hot shot, scream queen

Drama love, got it mean

Wasted hearts, tough kid

Shit, you’re just so stupid

But of course I’m the fool

For I injected innate rules

Getting high on their rush

System rejected, it passed

This is one ethereal dance

And I have a sprained foot

Lead me across the chance

Against the pain and truth

Hold me, crush me tighter

Baby doll’s too loatheful

Strangle or suffocate her

She won’t swallow anger

Did I lose the apocalypse?

My, what a big revelation

Douse my wings in blood

Lock me in an institution

Trigger cold, feels so safe

Please shoot, please rape

My mind with gun metal

Splatter red on the walls

Then if death do us part

Scream for my old heart

Stab halos on the ceiling

I know you’ll miss feeling

So find me and fuck it all

I didn’t make the last call

Pour me all, have a drink

Don’t stop now, just think

I’m just a desperate devil

You’re my poisoned angel

Don’t say this is all wrong

It was their plan all along

If we’re caught, act at best

We’re innocent, it is a test

If not, confess to perdition

Realise your transgression

Cathedral bells are ringing

Moment of hypocrite litany

The bloodred sky’s opening

The almighty laughs misery

So I’ll do a round of rosary

Excuse me for my old gaffe

Cleaned it with the upstairs

Guess what? He doesn’t care

So why should you? This life’s no winner

Not everyone’s either a cross or a sinner

And good or bad ain’t a two-sided nickel

Oh for heaven’s sake, we all burn in hell

I’m just a roman soldier, don’t die for me

I know I’m the nails that pinned your flesh

But you carried me all the way to Calvary

God damn it, you should have guessed.

Mass convulsions
Strike the choir
By the grace of God
Gun it while I’m holding on…

A Jailbird’s Last Song

lights out, it’s time to sleep now…

blood on

my tongue and

the bullet

of a cold gun

swimming down

my gullet, but

surprisingly;

demise tastes

much more

pleasant to me,

rather than the

rotting vestige of

the prison cell

walls that

the angels

lock me in to

fester in disease

and insanity

of my damning life

at every waking moment.

…for the lights of hellfire burn eternal.

The Valley of the Damned

I found me in a dream I can’t quite tell

Nothing could be heard, save my exclaimed yells

A clangorous toll of the old church bells

As if, to recognise my bereft knell

I blinked my eyes to clear out the vision

Obscenities, kaleidoscope fusions

Rather than vanish, why, alas! I saw

Such macabre horrors of nightmares raw!

.

I found me in a dream within a dream

I sought to shiver, I fought not to scream

For surely, it will awake reposing beasts

In the unquiet valley where they feast

That mystified zephyr of Hebrides

Prayed out to me in eponymous pleas

From whence cometh the tempest arising

In delirious shades of jagged lightning

.

I found me in a dream of tantrum storms

The quicksand below me mocks in furled scorn

Torrents of rain slashed at my waxen skin

Vulnerable state of feared heart within

It worried me not, my physical form

Yet I feared great for my sanity shorn

Will it keep me company? Or give in?

To the contagion of this valley’s sins?

.

I found me in a dream of umbralon

Whilst I wandered the desert all alone

A presence of unrest, saddled danger

Following me like a distant stranger

And what is that shadow that stalks me here?

A feminine figure, a lithe veneer

Upon closer inspection…on my life!

Sneering back was my emaciated wife!

.

I found me in a dream of seeked vengeance

Facing my departed wife’s defiance

Its rictus opened, I stared in horror

Mouthing such words that left me in terror

Come with me, groaned she, cold corpse beckoning

Shaken, I fled, denying her waiting

She gave way to no chase, only she smiled

I suppose I shall see you in a while…

.

I found me in a dream of confession

Vindicating with forceful convictions

Oh dear God, tell me, for I have wronged thee

Why must I suffer thus? Please answer me!

I implored in pain, yet all in mad vain

For only thunder procured my remains

Collapsing by a riverbank of mud

I wept and I wailed, tears causing a flood

.

I found me in a dream of senselessness

Where my reasons diminished, less and less

The morn in descent, a perennial night

Heed, heed the dying of the glorious light

As I lost the path of my own snapped mind

And cackled in lunacy, unlike mine

Halted at the gate of blood, death and bones

Ah, I thought comfortingly, I am home.

.

Demons hath swooped with tongues in twisted grins

And magniloquence, Welcome, please come in!

I embraced their whips, grateful volition

Marching me to their final perdition

When I found me in my dream, I have fell

Stepping upon a ghastly wishing well

When I asked for peace in paradise’s dell

I missed one step and plunged through this damned hell.
