iron fist

imprison me

in your pride

as i crawl back

to your open hand

in an act of defiance

.

incinerate me

with your beckon

as i feign free will

and allow myself to be

crushed in your grasp.

“Hang the stars who pulled the pin out of my heart.”

~*~

I’m never going to lose you

The way I lost my past possessions

Of paper stars and empty cars

And first-grade last impressions

I’ve cried in smudged ink a hundred ways

Filling up every spectrum and space

I’ve listened until all the tapes are played

And revolving around in eternal ballet

There has been too much ethereal

In quiet holy places and feisty carnivals

Autumn collisions of the sky and the ocean

Peripherals of songs of resting swans

But I’m never going to lose your dream

The way I lost my fugacious incandescence

From bedless hope and faithless screams

You’re my first place last defiance.

The Violence and the Infarction

Was I the coruscant antebellum kindred

To your predilection of extraneous vagary?

Aeon past the tachyon of obsequious depredations

Within thralls of specular painstaking coterie

My reprieve was but an aspersion of its faux edifice

Construed and cogitating in a stringent sepulchre

The drivel of platitudes and pugnacious respite

The pinnacle of obstinate, sulphur tongue abjured

The tomes writ under tantalus, narrating its temerity

A paragon of predicament, deleterious I may be

So scourge me in pugilistic nostrum and brash facsimile

Audacity and recidivism alike, burning constabulary

How succinct you are, garmented in laburnum clamour

As gregarious plaintive impertinence vehemently quavers

The verboten of pretentious and erroneous miscreants

Tidal waves of synchronous aesthete, pale arrogance defiant

Was I the exculpated alla breve you defended quite magnanimously

Your aspiring coltish sphene of the sacrilegious cognoscenti?

If only these coronary provocations were veritable, not desultory

The emolument for infatuation are naught but languorous presentiments.

Schwärmerei

Taking in my raw flared elation

Foreign affairs of your elevation

Where to look for some salvation

When Light and Dark in oscillation?

.

World in flesh, the punctures aided

Wounded heart attacking the jaded

And when your love has solely faded

Can you truly say your soul is sated?

.

Blessings proved to be a hindrance

Burn film reels of your provenance

And when I end this senseless dance

I’ll break you back in sheer defiance.
