Ephemeral Bride

I am a million pieces of the sky
I found a way to be alone
I’m gonna wait until you want me
Until you finally decide to go home…

~*~

Ephemeral bride of my dreams

Wedding-white veil torn at the seams

Diamond gleam and diamond ring

Purple finger and purple serene

.

Ephemeral bride of my dreams

Efflorescence like an imperial queen

Crystalline wine and crystalline skin

Scarlet bouquet and scarlet lips

.

Ephemeral bride of my dreams

Velvet tapestry fair, thy curtain skin

Sapphire eyes and sapphire crown

Blushing cheeks and blushing gown

.

Ephemeral bride of my dreams

Mine sweet erudition adorned within

Emerald fragrance and emerald tongue

Golden church bells and golden lungs

.

Ephemeral bride of my dreams

The chapel doors open, the march begins

Obsidian promises and obsidian “I do”

Before grey eyes open up to a greyer gloom.

~*~

I saw her smiling from the top of the world
I saw her sleeping on, amazing I know
If you lower, lower, lower me down
You lower me clearly, so come and lower me…

Pockets With Holes

‘Cause I’ve broken bones for you
And for you only
I make money but we just can’t
Keep this home…

~*~

i don’t ever want

the world to fall apart

just because of avaricious eyes

begging for fool’s gold

i’ll burn all the money i have

and let my house collapse

into a decrepit debris

if that means i could keep you

because this isn’t all about

shiny pennies and diamonds

that we try to mine under our flesh

and yet only unearth coal

this is about all those prospects

we threw to the faraway moon

how our unfortunate fates

aren’t spun into twisted infinity signs

yes, our mouths may be empty

but it doesn’t mean our hearts have to be

so set your faith past obscuring greed

and cease bleeding for the sake of worthless riches.

~*~

Give me your heart
And your hand
And we can run
(You’re my hope)…

Lies in Jewelry Boxes

Your sophism was a true talent

Which I was rather envious of

Lacing my tongue like hemlock

Its toxicity I’ve learned to love

Diamond lies glimmer lethally

I mined it out of your arteries

Coruscating past an acid flesh

Transpiercing it all desultorily

Who am I to cease your whims?

Cuffs bejeweled with gold voices

So offer me rubies and sapphires

If you feel precious and helpless

Faux phantasm you think succinct

Painting an entity bland and bleak

And I was a fool to let you think I am

You didn’t have to lie to be the higher man.

Diamond Blood

Diamonds end with bloodlines

Their predilections undermined

Festered growths underhanded

Faithless Angelus before a bed

With the queue of fool auspices

Plucked plumage for headdress

Poisoned by her own implication

Rictus lock-jawed in desperation

Her tasteful repugnance, forlorn

Whilst the vicarious girl is shorn

Shaven away, her flaxen tresses

Taken apart, her alluring dresses

All she has loved with conviction

Been forced into uncouth eviction

She surmised she could get away

Perhaps, they’d let aptitudes stay

Haphazard heart, painstaking pure

Dosage of monstrosities for cures

Last to transude, her precious soul

Desiccated, tarnish bejewelled coal

Diamonds shall end with bloodlines

So pay your price, emolument of lies

Burnishing mad ’til your fingers bleed

An effulgent illusion of a vestal greed.
