anatomical dissection: legs

frustrated red nails

dragged down soft thighs

leaving redder marks

overlapping with older lines

.

red tresses torn apart

like the skin that once flays

leave red-shame faces

murdering a less-violent display.

monosyllabic

a subtle displacement

used to crash away

once always on display

now nothing more than

cement

.

and our momentum

slowly lost its moment

it used to be in motion

now it’s just an awkward

um.

metal & skin (vii.)

the worst part

isn’t the fact that

i shower myself

in paintings of

incarnadine affinity

it’s the fact that

my fucked-up mind

wants to display

the grotesque artwork

so damn proudly.
