Rumours and Hearsay From Astronomy

“It wasn’t her who broke the stars.”

.

But she felt guilty all the same

As she stared at the dull midnight sky

Scattered with shards of light that hurt

In astral twinges and lunar fringes

When it hits her unblinking eyes

.

“It was him who fixed the horizon.”

.

But he didn’t feel responsible at all

He was merely there by coincidence

When it began to have mended itself

Coalescing into incandescent dawn

And yet he couldn’t say anything

.

“There’s this girl who locked the moon into the nebulae…

…and that boy painted the firmament rather ebulliently.”

.

Such mere rumours that the bored planets

Whispered clandestine amongst themselves

Altering details and chasing phantasmagoria

As the supernova truth shrank into a black hole

And sucked the boy and the girl in its dark void.

The Soldier In The Desert

Well, after all the blood that you still owe
Another dollar’s just another blow
So fix your eyes and get up
Better get up while you can…

~*~

so tell me, what have i done

to deserve these icy shivers

you dripped down my spine

and halted my temperature?

.

i only wished to take respites

and thaw this spastic relation

i never thought you’re weary

fathomed into a sunken inure

.

but grudges develop into gall

and interpretations turn awry

communications break down

and scars leave defaced marks

.

though was this my sin or yours

praying to the deities of hearsay

and believe gossip from tongues

refusing thus to light the sparks?

.

so tell me, just what have i done

to deserve your crashing bullets?

dismayed gunpowder sending me

straight down into an early grave

.

i only wished to defuse the placid hate

and cease this ineffectual, aeonian war

but perhaps both of the perpetrators are

enjoying such pain too much to be saved.

Accusations Amok

Now hold on, this is innocent blood
All the beach boys look like sharks
Because without you nothing ever mattered
I scream and wave my arms but you don’t understand me
Now as I watch them feed on you, it’s over…

~*~

Don’t listen to them

And their hateful hearsay

Ricocheting among

Their vituperate memories

.

Don’t let them ruin

That innocent mortality

Put into the stands

By a blood-hungry jury

.

Don’t look at them

Conspire among themselves

Like ravenous savages

Looking for fresh meat death

.

Don’t taste the fear

That they put in your mouth

Spit out the poison

Away with your bitter doubt

.

Don’t let them make

You out to be their villain

Because, in the end

You’re only another victim

.

Don’t let them make you unfair

They can hate and stay desperate

But I promise they’ll get nowhere

Don’t let them—I won’t let them.

~*~

I saved myself for you
Don’t you know I’d die for you?
I saved myself for you
(Without you what’s the point?)

Rotten Hearsay and Dinner

(Based on recent events in the house.)

~*~

A should-be perfect dinner, with dishes piled high

And a happy contented family ready to try

Yet things go for worse when it came and visited

Knocked on their door, its eyes glimmering red

.

An evil entity crashing in at the dead of the fun

Destroyed the clean tables, and went to run

Faces lowered down on crushed spaghetti sticks

A good dinner left untouched, a person sick

.

Rotten hearsay had passed from ear to ear

Broken lies that will always stay near

More complaints and thoughts for the unwilling

Another injury and blood for the healing

.

Tempers flared high, and screams explode

The family was in the state to slowly corrode

The good night ruined, the wrong of the right

Another perfect family left to fight

.

The tables have turned, and the family rotten

The entity already satisfied, and left the trail broken

Another victim struck, with hearsay as the weapon

The demon smiled, and with its tongue of lies, went on.
