Don’t Turn The Tables Sweetheart, You’re Gonna Dizzy Yourself Sick

Well, she’s not bleeding on the ballroom floor
Just for the attention, ‘cause that’s just ridiculously odd
Well, she sure is going to get it, here’s the setting
Fashion magazines line the walls now, the walls line the bullet holes
Have some composure and where is your posture? Oh, no, no!
You’re pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger all wrong…

~*~

You act like you’ve got a pretty laugh stuck in your ragged throat

Proud of the way you dirty your skin, proud of the way you gloat

About the veins, they’re just veins, they’re just another empty sea

I don’t want to swim, I don’t want to sink, I don’t want to censor me

.

Can you see the way I twist my hair into a noose that I’ll never hang?

Well the knots have hurt my fingers and for a moment my hands stung

All this beauty left to be romantic about, but sometimes nature is a bore

The bayside’s wayside in screaming trees, sometimes nature is a whore

.

When we did it, it was funny, it was temporary, it was just a tragedy

Coming from the cheap seats and you clapped for the longest irony

Now it’s your turn, it’s not funny, it’s forever, it’s a bruised symphony

We paid the balcony scene just to watch a charcoal sob for a penny

.

And your lips spill with attention and gush that you don’t want any

Paint the crooked crucifix on your pallid cheeks with bitter and honey

Now all the hypocrites adore you, blood-type A of sycophantic rude

Play a victim with a rifle to their shoulders, act as if it’s how you should

.

Now the trigger smiles so happy, does that bullet taste like sweet candy?

Do the fucking polaroids show off the best sides of your broken inhumanity?

Make us sorry that this reality didn’t fit your peach-twill dress and sanity

Was it your idea to put the slit in your throat so you can pretend that it’s originality?

~*~

Give me envy, give me malice, give me your attention!
Give me envy, give me malice, baby, give me a break!
When I say shotgun, you say wedding: shotgun, wedding, shotgun, wedding!
She didn’t choose this role, but she’ll play it and make it sincere
So you cry, you cry (give me a break) but they believe it from the tears
And the teeth right down to the blood at her feet…

the house of sinners

You’ve fallen captive to what you thought would
Save you, what you thought would clean your slate
You’re in the thick of it now and you have swallowed the hook
What’s done is done, we’ll continue on with or without you
Pain must exist in order for healing to survive
Neither one will ever serve their purpose alone…

~*~

underhanded whispers

rotting foundations to the very core

flesh devoured by the ego

and cold blood sold to murder slaves—

black eye gouged for black eye

in this parasitic wasteland;

of a home built on crossbones

and mangled hearsay

swallowing teeth and anger

boiling harsh on explosive veins

devouring the starving bruised hearts

until all that’s left is arcane vitriol.

so tear my body apart to pathetic shreds,

expose the lies in my backbone

and make me believe fervently in

your hypocritical preambles,

distorted tales of abuse,

vile corrupted, asinine whining,

and the conjured-up apparitions at the

tip of your foul leather tongue…

i’ll pass it on to another fool;

taking them as you have taken me for.

because oh, i just adore

your stories of foolhardy orphans

and the secret adoptions that

you slipped in our coffee like poison

and now you have the nerve to grit

the dirty money between

your running mouth and say that

we don’t fucking deserve any of your trust

as you shamelessly go crawling back to your mistress

and weep behind red war paint.

a personal sadistic leverage,

that pathetic carnage of a temper of yours.

watch yourself before you accuse us

and don’t speak with the smoking gun

permanently lodged between your

pointing fingers like a quickly-burning cigarette,

because you’re gonna set yourself on fire.

and we’ll stand back and watch

the hostile flames convict you of arson—

among all of the other crimes

you’ve shamelessly committed against us,

because it’s the most merciful thing

we could ever do to you.

~*~

This is my goodbye, don’t worry
We saw through your trickery
And we’re coming out alive, see you at the end
What was once your life is now lifeless
What was once your life is now your jail cell.

Blah Blah Blah

You can try but I will not obey, I will not obey
You’re not a God, I’m not your slave
And you can try but there’s no controlling me
I’ve had enough, the shit you preach
You talk too much, swallow your teeth…

~*~

Bite your tongue and clench your teeth

Hold your breath and chew your cheek

Shut your mouth and bleed out your lips

Taste the blood foaming, ain’t it sweet?

.

When the lies aren’t enough to hold you back

And the conversations form into a spiteful god

They’re all talk talk talk, but never say a word

The gossip so lurid, crashing down your worlds

.

And would they believe you if it was the truth?

They’ll just call you a preacher and a hypocrite

And would they believe you if you told no evil?

Litanies affixed to your names like it’s bullshit

.

‘Cause there’s no place for an honest man in hell

And there’s no place for sinners wishing you well

All that’s clean is replaced by regurgitation and bile

And people whispering rumours, stuck here a while

.

So just burn your tongue and swallow your teeth

Choke down your breath and rip off your cheeks

Shut your fucking mouth and bleed out your lips

To taste the gory lies foaming, oh, ain’t it so sweet?

~*~

With so much hate, you drown in shame
The angels cry but you won’t change
You built your world on fear and pain
The snakes will surely sing your name…

You’re No Fun Anymore (You Never Were)

You’re going down the road that’s the same one that we have
We cannot wait to watch life kick you in your ass
I shed a little tear for all of you out there
There’s no way to escape, welcome to hell…

~*~

Oh, so the world doesn’t care about all your pedantic sorrows

Why are you so surprised that the sun will still rise tomorrow?

Clocks wouldn’t hitch their breaths just so you could catch up

And boxing gloves don’t soften the blow if you’ve had enough

You ask for a break like you deserved such a precious privilege

Scream at mouths to shut up when you spew the same trite shit

You said it yourself hypocrite, just repair it with your own tools

Don’t go around asking pleas, for the ones you once called fools

Oh, the world doesn’t care about your melodramatic ascencions

Why are you surprised it still revolves, when yours won’t go on?

Warn you’ll turn into a beast when you are pushed to your limits

But end up sobbing and whining, life’s just fucking unfair, isn’t it?

~*~

Because it doesn’t get better, unless you’re pretty
It doesn’t get better, unless you’ve got money
It doesn’t get better, so just give up
It never gets better, no, it gets worse…

Truth Over Thimbles And Thorns

Look in my eyes, I’m jaded now
Whatever that means by sharing these things
I rip my heart out, it’s worth my time
Whatever that means, so…

~*~

The truth lies behind washed-out paint and writings on a bathroom stall

If love is bullshit and faux pas, there’s always an idiot to slip in it and fall

Backlash, tongue crash, offensive words censored by flowery tiding’s fine

You don’t need perniciousness but you’re myrmecophilous to my lifelines

Say it isn’t meant to be insulting, your transient infatuation is but caprice

The irony of your cold hypocrisy accentuating your selfishness and hubris

Imitation’s a form of flattery, but not when I’m peddling in diamond stones

Each to theirs, but yours is construct on prevarications, mine is homegrown.

~*~

Share with me ’cause I need it right now
Let me see your insides or write me off
‘Cause I’d rather starve now if you won’t open up…

A Hypocrite’s Hell

Filthy hypocrite;

The rancid words

That you shiv on me

Your blood and flesh,

Are just as sugary

As the sweet nothings

You whisper to

The boys you play

With every night.

Either way, both are

Deceiving blades

That disorient our

Sensibility and make

Us crave for heat.

You’re connivingly

Talented, I’ll give you that.

Filthy hypocrite;

Why don’t you dress

For decency when

You face us, yet

Wear your finest

Wardrobe for your

2 AM excursions?

It’s all about superficial

Identity, and you

Harass us for opinions

When we don’t care

If you paraded across

Town looking like a

10 million dollar diva

Or a homeless rag whore

Clothes can’t hide

Your monstrosity

Anymore, you see?

Filthy hypocrite;

Be less concerned

About the way

You look to others

And start caring

Not about the

Mindless materialism,

Or cash, but just

Actually give a

Damn about us.

Not like I’d expect

It anytime soon

But it would be

Quite nice for once.

Filthy hypocrite;

You’re the poison

That cripples my veins

The shitty anxiety

That never rests

The repressing memory

That suffocates,

Trying to stop the

Strangers that keep

Me fucking alive

And yet you say

You’re only helping,

You only want

The best for me

Well if you want to,

Then let me just

fucking breathe.

Filthy hypocrite;

I’m supposed to

Appreciate the way

You act, and I’m

Supposed to love

You unconditionally,

Yet here I am,

With a loathing and

Death wishes and

Malevolence that

Throbs behind my

Eyes wholeheartedly…

It’s funny, isn’t it?

And yet no one’s laughing.

Not me, not the knives,

Not the hate you branded

On the undersides of

Our petulant brains.

You think I’m smiling,

But it’s called gritting

My teeth and biting

My tongue to shreds,

Haven’t you noticed?

So, filthy hypocrite;

Laugh it off, won’t you?

It’s advantageous to

Your moral decay

And human indecency

An a smile faker than

Eating plastic surgery,

But at least you’re

Content in gloating

Over how parasitically

Charming you are,

Fucking happy over

You and your shining

Pathetic status quo.
