cacophony

i am in severe pain

over the bedlam sounds

ringing the devil’s song

in my deafened ears

i hear them again and again

even when i cover myself

all i can ever listen to is

the earsplitting tears

.

i am in severe pain

over the bedlam sounds

echoing hell’s melody

beyond my ears, in my brain

if this is what pure silence

sounds like, then i would

rather be dead than to

have it eternally remain.

Beasts, Burning, Bloodshed

I’m keeping the monsters warm

With my own blood and self-harm

They lick away every sedition

Ripping apart each single conniption

.

Teeth like carved metal tetanus

Dark with every slurring and cuss

As alcohol shuts down the bane

Intensifying the numb of the pain

.

Another fucking demon to encounter

My own control I couldn’t conquer

Sucking away all the shades and colour

Until all there is to do is surrender

.

Black roses thrive by the grave

Of just another nameless great escape

Damnation’s all there is to save

Again and again, my sanity is raped

.

The sulphur blister and brimstone bite

As solemn shadows devoured the night

Death decreases my chances to survive

But these feral beasts are keeping me alive.

It spread like a virus

As potent as poison

As deadly as venom

Touch contamination

It spread like plague

And hurt me like hell

But it worked a charm

Healed me like a miracle.

Party Games

A fun old party for the child

Who loves to be unruly, wild

Noose streamers strewn all

Hats to impale, and roll call

.

So let’s start, musical chairs

Pull mine out, say it’s all fair

How about blind man’s bluff?

Keep me stumbling, ha, laugh

.

Pin the blame on the donkey

And make an ass out of me

Spin me around and around

You’re good at that anyhow

.

But don’t you keep that pout

Come on, the party’s hot led!

Whack me like I’m the piñata

Bash bats on my paper head

.

Spin the bottle next, nice one

Spill the beans, make kids run

Bottle, bottle, who’s the worst?

It always points along my girth

.

Want cheaper entertainment?

You hire me to be your clown

Throwing shit pies in my face

Attempting to make me frown

.

I wipe the last of seltzer water

Oh, are the party games over?

All the humiliation over with?

It’s time for the candy shower!

.

And when the cards are read

Plastic plates then prepared

Ice cream makes teeth ache

Here it comes, the final break

.

Presents unwrapped in one take

It’s your party, your childish sulk

But I’ve got arsenic in your cake

So go and blow the candles out.

A Pontificating Performance

Today I fell and felt better
Just knowing this matters
I just feel stronger and sharper
Found a box of sharp objects
What a beautiful thing
Do you want a song of glory
Well I’m fucking screaming at you…

~*~

There isn’t a need to stick

Your sanctimonious wooden nose

High up and mighty in the air

For you reckon you’re so clever

And a marvellous timely troubadour

With your prevarications of despair

Oh, special, pretty, little white flower

The crowds adore your recherché

And a flounce of your plaited hair

But your hagiographic glass eyes and

Pinocchio nose impales mendacity

The audience bleeds whenever you share

Soon they will disperse haughtily

Leaving your stage in its desolation

And next time no one would give a care

So pray not be quite presumptuous

And see all sides of the icositetragon theatre

When you’re performing to be fair.

Journeys on your ebony car

Energy of a million fair stars

Neverland awaits Peter Pan

Spirited Texas boy, have fun

Ebullient in bowlegged steps

Nexus of freckled smiley lips

Aspirations, within you it lies

Cherry soul and emerald eyes

Kindness of vivace perception

Love of life, ardent inspirations

Ever young at heart, Texas boy

Sage as you bring hope and joy.

Puerile Insincerities

Halfhearted apologies

And florid indignities

Are all that ever came out

Of my sugary mouth

And they taste as rancid

As your juvenile pout

I surrender to your illicit

And raise the cotton flag

Unless I wish to wipe it

On the casualty’s blood

I’m a pacifist, honey

I don’t wish for a fight

But your prevalence persists

To rend another bite

Silence is louder than the

Little singsong mockery

You chant and allay back

Hoping to hurt mercilessly

You lick your self-infliction

As you taste the briny salt

Rubbed on open wounds

As if it was my sole fault

For a touch is all it takes

To cause you some harm

One word in charged tones

And you’re rendered alarmed

But for the last time, I’m sorry

I won’t indulge in your games

Even if you attempted sincerity

It will be unctuous all the same.

A Song in Your Death Scene

Have you heard the news that you’re dead?
No one ever had much nice to say
I think they never liked you anyway
Oh, take me from the hospital bed
Wouldn’t it be grand to take a pistol by the hand
And wouldn’t it be great if we were dead!

~*~

Oh, just keep on dancing for me

Like blackened flies in a coronary

I would try to trade in all my tricks

But sobriety was never really my niche

The doctors called, they said you’re crazy

Can I strap you down in your gurney?

Shotgun shells taste as good as the pills

Both prescriptions are set for the kill

And we, and we, can end up dead

While laughing in our hospital beds

As the bandages start to stain with red

And we, and we, can both end up wed

.

I aimed for profound, that’s the latest trend

Dear, how was that fender that you bend?

No time to be Plato if my veins are drained

Where’s the sense when I’m getting maimed?

The doctors called, they said a maybe

But I ain’t counting my stars yet, baby

Beating hearts feel as good as a stab

But I guess that’s what it means to love

And we, and we, can end up dead

While crying into dehydration instead

No one had any hope left anyways

I never even had much cute things to say

.

The cuts are burning slowly deeper within

Didn’t I have what you call a proper system?

Cheap affairs cheering for kindred spirits

My face plastered on cartons of missing milk

The doctors called, they said to pack it up

Intermission’s over kid, it’s high time to stop

Intensive care feels like a vulture salvaged

Cool my organs well for their personal storage

And we, and we, can end up dead

Bayonet ourselves in the goddamn head

Time for the marionettes to take a final bow

We’ll make it through this hell somehow

.

As the last night starts to get younger

And the sun turns into a distant stranger

Make some way for the crash test dummies

Death has a deadline, oh fine, we’re in a hurry

The doctors called, they’re asking for money

I swear it wasn’t meant to turn this bloody

Coffin velvet doesn’t feel too uncomfortable

So lie back in ease, we have an eternity more

And we, and we, can end up dead

Let’s toast canticles of hemlock and lead

Shit, why even bother to wail and resist?

Hellfire ain’t bad, once you get used to it

.

Let’s make the most out of being deceased

When you’re emaciated, you can’t be pissed

So shut your mouth and don’t be so jet set

There’s a lot of demented fun to be had yet

The doctors lied, but who cares what they said?

Oh complications this and that, caught red handed

Failing feels like a stethoscope straight to the neck

I’d be complaining, but I’m too busy being a wreck

And we, and we, and we, darling we will end up being dead

I wanna leave young, guess that’s why hospitals are invented

Existing’s a joke anyways, nothing will matter anymore, I collected

Life’s so fun when we, when we, when we’re already all fucking dead!!

~*~

And in my honest observation
During this operation
Found a complication
In your heart, so long…

Marital Machines

Tell me now, I know
That it just won’t stop
You will find your flow
When you go robot…

~*~

For now I’ll question what this is about

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

Our system was complex, a tangle of red wires

You refused to be binary, a programmed liar

.

For now I’ll stall my grinding clockwork mouth

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

And I’m s-s-stuttering my computed convictions

When you’re switching, wasting my prior restrictions

.

For now I’ll stifle my careful calculated pouts

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

Tongues pour crude oil and sugar, but not a sound

I can sense this l-l-love affair is a battleground

.

For now I’ll withhold all my [g]oogled doubts

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

I’ll update you on the latest version of your l-l-lies

And the experts say I don’t hurt, just byte

.

For now, my high voltage CPU overheats a lot

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

My visual goggles seem to be badly leaking

Your accusatory fingers are clicking and p-p-pointing

.

For now I’ll plug into a safer route

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

You were wired with implanted ab-ab-abjudications

You called me nuts and bolted with geared emotions

.

For now I’ll s-s-steal some pixelated 8-bit clouts

Let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

Your sloppy affections at the wrong time, the wrong place

I’ll retrieve my composure, desire your asphyxiated grace

.

For now I’ll be speaking boldly, volume rising aloud

L-l-let’s talk it out, let’s talk it out

My word stream is unstable, a data-mosh of praying

Perhaps you’ll have the sanctum’s version 0.1 aging

.

For now I’ll signal an alarming blowout

Let’s talk it out, let’s t-t-talk it out

You were electric, and you overloaded my circuits

But technicalities aside, you were but a v-v-virus

.

For now, for now, you won’t backup, and my process is going south

L-l-let’s talk it out, let’s t-t-talk it out, le-le-let’s t-t-talk it o-o-out

Analysis shows I can take your micro cheap tricks no longer

Warning! Data error! System failure! Shut down or recover?

Afternoon Tea for a Fresh Start Fever

Let’s make resolutions
I’ve only got problems and no solutions
You’re just someone to the world
But you’re the world
To someone else who told you
Oh heart of mine
Sing a sad song, sing a sad song…

~*~

So there the two of us were;

Caught in silent meditation

Sipping hot elderflower tea

Heaped with a dash of sky

Minty wisps of teal clouds

And comminuted sunlight

To expel the common cold

The infirmity that bothered

You and I into a contagious

Decrepitude and debilitation

.

You didn’t wish to be a man

Chasing sunflower’s whorls

Spiralling deeper into a lazy

Oblivion, you need a change

I didn’t aim to be that person

Watching her pace when she

Walks, chasing the tiled gaps

‘Til I slam headfirst into a wall

Blindly, I had needed a change

.

I deigned for a fresh start fever

Perhaps I could sweat one out

You sat in a chair of oak wicker

Already setting the kettle down

You’ve added spoonful, for two

Of well-wishes to your already-

Overflowing cup of coppertone

As I asked galaxies, precipitate

Some stars so I can taste lights

.

So there we were then, you and I

Daintily relishing our own cuppas

Patient, taciturn, in piqued smiles

Waiting for sunset to drown us in

Waiting for nightfall to kill us both

Never mind it is way past our teatime

Never mind that I’m using your spoon

Perhaps leaves weren’t the resolution

But the company we’ve both savoured.

~*~

Warning you
Oh, heart of mine
Sing a sad song
And it’s a fresh start fever
Who wouldn’t want to be here?
Welcome to the future
Dream a little bigger…
