the house of sinners

You’ve fallen captive to what you thought would
Save you, what you thought would clean your slate
You’re in the thick of it now and you have swallowed the hook
What’s done is done, we’ll continue on with or without you
Pain must exist in order for healing to survive
Neither one will ever serve their purpose alone…

~*~

underhanded whispers

rotting foundations to the very core

flesh devoured by the ego

and cold blood sold to murder slaves—

black eye gouged for black eye

in this parasitic wasteland;

of a home built on crossbones

and mangled hearsay

swallowing teeth and anger

boiling harsh on explosive veins

devouring the starving bruised hearts

until all that’s left is arcane vitriol.

so tear my body apart to pathetic shreds,

expose the lies in my backbone

and make me believe fervently in

your hypocritical preambles,

distorted tales of abuse,

vile corrupted, asinine whining,

and the conjured-up apparitions at the

tip of your foul leather tongue…

i’ll pass it on to another fool;

taking them as you have taken me for.

because oh, i just adore

your stories of foolhardy orphans

and the secret adoptions that

you slipped in our coffee like poison

and now you have the nerve to grit

the dirty money between

your running mouth and say that

we don’t fucking deserve any of your trust

as you shamelessly go crawling back to your mistress

and weep behind red war paint.

a personal sadistic leverage,

that pathetic carnage of a temper of yours.

watch yourself before you accuse us

and don’t speak with the smoking gun

permanently lodged between your

pointing fingers like a quickly-burning cigarette,

because you’re gonna set yourself on fire.

and we’ll stand back and watch

the hostile flames convict you of arson—

among all of the other crimes

you’ve shamelessly committed against us,

because it’s the most merciful thing

we could ever do to you.

~*~

This is my goodbye, don’t worry
We saw through your trickery
And we’re coming out alive, see you at the end
What was once your life is now lifeless
What was once your life is now your jail cell.

Miss Mercenary

You had me hooked, careless and cunning
You had your throne, but now you’re nothing
You had me hooked, careless and cunning
You had your throne, but now you’re nothing…

~*~

A maiden for the silken sheets

A muse for the midnight masquerade

Amorous amorphous on feather pillows

A demure bonny on the pasquinade

.

A madwoman for the asphalt streets

A machine for the telephone’s hold

Astounding magic and death-defying acts

Aspiration generation, metal heart so cold

.

A mistress for all your petty problems

A megalomaniac for your world to rule

Alleviate and apprehend momentum quick again

Apathetic monarchy for the masses to adore and endure

.

A miss murder for the mean memorial of the brothels

A monster for the messy and mercurial meltdown motels

Arrogant tease decadent, astringent, leading you on well

All before she shows her blackened eyes and drags you down to hell.

~*~

Fading like the makeup from my sheets
And I’m leaving, send the orders for retreat
I laid to rest this war that we called “love”
It’s for the best and what’s done is done…

Mademoiselle Pluie

Rain, must you be such a frigid, dwindling cruel mistress

That ensconces me in your embrace when I’m in distress?

Prevaricating verboten aphorism with your cool pinnacle

Driving away such tenacious brevity and a respite cynical

Rain, must you be the edifice of my melancholia mourned

Your querulous forbearance betwixt me when I’m forlorn?

Fulminated sulphurous burns that fount my divested skin

Yet when I’m mollified, I find myself abandoned yet again.

Hardened Heart and Spectrum Soul

There’s naught but cosmos braided in thine eyes

Might blossoms doth flourish forevermore

Thine fingertips blush with that of surprise

Butterflies lilt from the dress thou hast wore

Yet mourning lips dost bleed red from thine tongue

Might melancholy plague thee nevermore

Thine toes amble amongst jagged shears stung

Bats shrieking from the fabric thou shalt tore

Mistress, must thou allow such perplexments?

Monochrome unto shade predicaments

Yet such soul of mine hath colours to spare

I shall love each grey of your heartstrings fair.

Greatest Treasure

My mistress’s soul hath longed to seek finer fortune winds

Whereupon seeds of chartreuse grass blusters and grows

Akin to the radiant canary sun, her most youthful fair skin

Upon the cherry blossom horizon, glitters finely and glows

Treading tentative upon quaint dotted rhododendron bushes

To fill her wicker basket with the ripest succulent blackberries

Silvery light catches her mellow lemony hair’s ringlets tresses

My bonny mistress’s efflorescent spirit nay falters nor wearies

Lithe body like a chromatic hummingbird’s wings arched in flight

Roses damasked red and rogue on plump lips and flushed cheeks

Serene zephyr doth pass, carrying with its breeze a sound quite

Like the merry Stradivarian laugh that which thy mistress speaks

She flits posthaste, non dither, questing from blossom to nectar

Yet soon my aromantic honeybee learns that life isn’t all sweet

When flourishing foliages swiftly wilt, leaving but a tawny scar

And those frigid turbulent rains make her vitality falter and fleet

My mistress doth seeked her fate on the outside world, yet she barely survived

Only to discover, unfortunately, that all that joie de vivre hath but misery belied

My lost mistress shall wander her path home soon, when her heart finally realises

That her greatest treasure sits lone writing her melodies, a bard sending inkstained kisses.
