people

cared

a little

i wish

that i

cared

a little

less.

word vomit

And here we go again with all the things we said
And not a minute spent to think that we’d regret
So we just take it back, these words and hold our breath
Forget the things we swore we meant…

~*~

i keep wasting my words

on someone who doesn’t

give a single damn anymore

every profanity and melody

symbols and type bringing up

yet another detestable score

.

i keep wasting my words

on someone who doesn’t want

nor deserve it all anymore

and i keep running out of lines

choking on my dictionary

and still you asked me for more.

~*~

I’ll write you just to let you know that I’m alright
Can’t say I’m sad to see you go
Cause I’m not (no, I’m not), well, I’m not…

More or Less

Tell me that you’re done looking for love
‘Cause your heart can’t take it
You say you’re better off alone

I say you need somebody new
It’s killing me to be this close
I’m right here in front of you…

~*~

I could tell, it’s more than just another pang

Another star filling up your empty universe

It’s more than the transient flicker of a firefly

Another synaptic beat in your dancing blood

.

If it’s worth the risk, then just tell me please

Swallow a mouthful of nails for a single kiss

As the idle bitter lullabies disturbed my sleep

And it’s freaking me out, think I’m in too deep

.

Because it’s more than just another oblique lie

Another dark cigarette burn marking your skin

It’s more than just another targeted hit and miss

And you know how it goes, we’re more than this.

~*~

I wanna be more than this, oh
I got it bad for you
I’m thinking you’re worth the risk, so
Tell me what I gotta do
We could stay high, we could lay low
I would do anything but let go…

Backdoor Unlocked

She got her head in the dirt
And her neck in my hands
She won’t live too long with a mind like that
I can’t hang every day, baby, I’ve got plans, oh woah
I won’t waste her time with a life like that…

~*~

There’s a smile in her eyes

And a laugh in her knife

That wouldn’t reach me

When it’s a quarter past four

“Will you get the door?”

.

But I don’t wanna open it up

Afraid that the sirens won’t stop

And they’ll find me high on oxy

Sleepin’ on a bed of money

They’re knocking, screaming more

.

But it’s all I can do to slur and speak

The colour of her name makes me so weak

I didn’t know how I got so obsessed

They told me they’ll take care of the rest

And the doorbell rings a mocking score

.

I thought tonight was just a nightmare

And you gave me quite a damn scare

When you told me that your heart stopped

And you spit blood in your red cup

They won’t cease banging on my porch

.

But there’s a sweet smile in your eyes

And you hid behind your back a knife

When you said you couldn’t reach me

And it’s ten past five when you killed me

Hiding the weapon under my lifeless body

As you said “I’ll get the door for you, baby.”

~*~

Keep your hands to yourself
Don’t put ’em on someone else’s life
Stay right there, right there
Take advice from yourself
If the energy’s dead, baby, let things die
I don’t care, oh no…

i am more than me

in this universe

than the universe

shall ever be

i am me and more

yet i am more of me

more than i will ever be

for i am me

and i will be

more than me

than i shall ever be

no sorry, no maybe

just me being me

for this is me, you see

and i am me

averted ambition

i’m so tired

from chasing

after empty air

and looking

for something

that isn’t there

i want badly

to believe that

it’s more than

it ever seems

but am i just

fooling myself

is it just a futile

otiose dream?

metal & skin (xxiv.)

one cut

a weaker beginning, but you’re just starting

three cuts

that’s the charm, as searing pain is settling

five cuts

is that all you can take? is that all you can take?

seven cuts

how much, how much more can you make?

ten cuts

easy, over, and out, it’s like riding a bike now

fifteen cuts

it’s all a distant, tranquilising blur somehow

twenty cuts

you have reached your own personal record

twenty-two cuts

and went past it; dare you break the accord?

twenty-six cuts

it’s a complete mess of blood and medicine

thirty cuts

too numb to give a fuck, you ceased caring

thirty-three cuts

your arm’s as pale as your cotton blanket

thirty-eight cuts

maybe you’ve crossed the line, but screw it

forty cuts

so indulged, and you just can’t fucking stop

forty-four cuts

because you know it will never be enough

forty-nine cuts

for it’s not really the quantity that matters

fifty cuts

but just how fucking far you dare to go deeper.

fifty-one cuts and counting…

Liars Go To Hell

“liars go to hell.”

i know that the

devil keeps score

“liars go to hell.”

but tally it all up

and let’s do more

“liars go to hell.”

but i’m already

rotten to my core

“liars go to hell.”

and that’s what

i’m hoping for.

Rain Some More

Hey now, we’ve got to make it rain somehow
She told me to, and showed me what to do
Our Maggie makes it in a cloud…

~*~

Continuous shouts and protests of “Rain, rain, go away!”

That’s the rhyme all the children chant along to and collectively say

For they all wish to peacefully resume their silly little games

Under the sun, without getting sopped wrinkly and washed down into the drain

.

But to the sight of my childish heart, you are gaiety, Nature’s splendour

In terms of Mother Goose, I’m that foolish eensy weensy spider

Playing by the iridescent puddles, the nipping ardour of torrential rain

Drenching myself in pattering jubilance without bearing any shame

.

The plants join in my strange pantomime, my personal ode to stormy skies

Flowers swaying gently as they welcome waters that kiss their petals nice

The drops of rain that mix with luminescence, an ethereal emotion

Waiting giddily for the bridge of rainbow for me to cross after this downpour session

.

Fun, colour, and the sweet smell of petrichor, won’t you join my rain dance and song?

Indulge yourself in cloudburst joviality until you are soaked to your very bone

For when the sun hides its rays of gold to rest, and the day is dislimned by the clouds that soar

We must find solace in embracing duskiness and frigid water, so let it rain some more.
