the cyclone

riptides roar

tsunamis soar

hurricane waves

can’t be saved

ocean rages

howling winds

desperate surges

sailing stints

whirlpool wailing

water flowing

of salt and sand

ships unmanned

seas slow down

as sirens serenade

the storm has passed

and calm is made.

the moment

has passed

before i

can grab it

it used to

be genuine

now it’s just

a forced habit.

Aeon +1

glass eyed

with a dulled reverie

waiting for

seconds of eternity

to pass by

and lose their bend

but time, it

just seems to extend.

eyes

flitting restlessly

like

fireflies in a jar

and

blinking sullenly

like

a burnt out bulb

heart

pulsing madly

like

an anxious cur

and

tic rhythmically

like

a music box stir

as

fingers tapping

quick

with twinkling

toes

breaking that

silence

of lost ghosts

i get

a glass of white

wine

and drained the

glass

nervous for the day

that

pain shall finally

pass.
