held power

sharp things

i’m needing—

where can i

All Hail The King

Your cruelty clings to my broken wings
You wrote this in your scarlet letter
You’re a whore for feelings
A touch-me junkie scraping by the skin
Of someone who’s better…

~*~

It’s the way he carries himself

As if the world should bow to him

Each step a dramatic flair

With much regard and self-esteem

.

The way he looks down on people

Like he’s such a special case

With a practiced condescending sneer

Etched on his fist-worthy face

.

The way he degrades and consumes

Getting bites big enough to chew

When he has used and spat you out

He’s completely through with you

.

The way he thinks he’s all there is

And the universe on their shoulders is his

He’s got his friends, got his enemies

He’s got his plastic talent and camaraderie

.

And it’s the way he carries himself

As if he is the king of this whole damn thing

But he’s just a power-tripping man charged with treason

Prepped and ready for his final execution.

~*~

You’ve got it wrong, weakness is the body leaving pain
You like the way it hurts, the scar, the stain
You’re in the gutter, the kind of filth that makes me shutter
What you can’t change will remain the same…

Flag Half-Mast

Litter of trash and debris of corpses

Stench of blowflies, decay, maggots

Counting the casualties, all-in losses

With ideologies of an exorbitant rot

Pay no attention to its sickly colours

Huddle under naught but old prayers

All left unheard by those with power

Desecrating humans into scavengers

Scattered, diseased, a corrupted vein

Severed from life of a wicked system

For economy, for democracy or idiocy

Wolves in suits thirst more for insanity

The nation is mourning in bereft wails

But everyone gregariously hears to fail

And they’re too busy bickering over the sound

Of a dead country being lowered on the ground.

The Calumniation of John Smith and Jane Doe

Let me tell you a story about a boy and a girl
A very different version than you’ve ever heard
Okay, so I’m lying, but all I’m trying to say
This isn’t about the one that got away…

~*~

Let me tell you a story

Of a boy and a girl

One who killed the sunset

The other’s feet curled

Both watched wretched stars

Crash with meteor showers

They licked nectar of the gods

And elucidated powers

Win the matriarchal anarchy

Of the obstreperous race

And the boy and the girl

Were the mascots and the face

And they chased popularity

Like spiders on a web

And anyone who gets caught

Will be devoured and dead

She was the queen bee

He was the screaming lion

They ruled the concrete jungle

With a fist as hard as iron

They solved society’s code

And clambered on other people

With sharp knives and wits

They reached the highest steeple

Forever staying to indulge

Lounging in pecksniffian glam

The boy and girl found bliss

Amidst avariciousness and scams

But their leniency evolved

And the bridges under restless

They began to grow tired

Of withholding the masses

And so their bullets ricocheted

Their crown jewels glinted

Crowds pulled them by their hairs

To obtain what they needed

It turned bloody and carnage

Habituated from vicious attacks

Their downfall shall climax

With a clean suicide pact

The boy with his revolver gun

The girl with her noose and razor

Sitting by the burning castle

“Let’s end this now together.”

But it doesn’t finish that easily

They both survived the dare

He missed his brain by inches

She bled, but only paled fair

One ended up in a hospital ER

Comatose for his existence

The other was thrown in jail cell

To waste away and lose sense

The girl escapes, mad rambling

With some floss and a bent spoon

The boy sleeps, she pulls the plug

“This will all be over soon.”

And this story doesn’t end

With a wedding and happiness

In this version, one gets killed

By the other one’s duress

Let me tell you a story

Of a stupid boy and a foolish girl

This modern Adam and Eve fable

Is no fairy tale for the sober.

~*~

Watch it from your ivory tower
Paint the sky grey, like a coward
How long you’ve got?
I can go on for hours
A sweet little tale that ended sour
My words will ring in your ears…

Uprising of the Used

If we’re the flagship of peace and prosperity
We’re taking on water and about to fucking sink
No one seems to notice, no one seems to blink
The crew left the passengers to die under the sea…

~*~

White colours of the state

You pledge allegiance true

For you can’t enter the gate

Unless you’re red, white, blue

.

His thick orange leathery skin

Can’t be penetrated by bullets

Nor a good conscience within

He is headed for a trainwreck

.

A single line and one ink stain

Is all it takes to crash and burn

And signatures and nuclear rain

A peaceful haven it can’t return

.

Masses thrown and rejected

Staunched like the rusty blood

From a war looming overhead

Of this one nation under God

.

But the voices can be stronger

Than one tyrant’s foolish games

When the stars and stripes fall

You’ll remember his cursed name

.

Make an enemy and he will lose

For they’ll surely stand and fight

And angels are more dangerous

Without their pure glowing lights

.

For the power may be his to abuse

To corrupt and twist to his whims

But this is the uprising of the used

And they will never let stupidity win.

~*~

Countdown, to the very end
Equality, an invitation we won’t extend
Ready aim, pull the trigger now
It’s time you firmly secure your place in hell…

Thy Kingdom Come

I rule a desolate world, with no men nor mice

I sit brooding in a throne of fire and ice

Thorns and blood placed upon my head acting as a crown

Bestowed along with my power, a ghost-infested town
.

This was my doing, I tried to play the great game

But one wrong step caused everything to go up in flames

Once mighty and filled with valour, now they call me names

Like coward, the destroyer, and the avaricious one to blame
.

Now everything is naught, only bleached skeletons remain

The songs of the dead to haunt me and nagging voices retained

All there is are empty ruined houses and whispering winds

And a regretful lone king with no honour and broken wings.

Sovereign Putrescence

All the dukes and duchesses, off with their pretty heads

And kings and queens, all royal blood will dance in their deathbeds

And those who dare defy and rule with an iron fist

Shall be stripped of their power and to the bloodlust public released

And what is the meaning of equal, when the humans all thirst

For utter power and dominance over others, to be the very first?

And to give the masses power, might just be the ideal suggestion

If only there weren’t so many huge loopholes leading to corruption

Is there anyone at all could find a proper and just solution

And stop giving the way of rule a rotten definition?

But for all the clever geniuses and philanthropists in the world

They get overlapped by the gullible and the megalomaniac’s words

And from this army against, only endless war can wage

Until we are extinct, until the world only passes a crimson age

If only we would stop giving way to those who condescend unfairly

Then maybe the pureness of the world wouldn’t be lost in a government of idiocracy.

Societal Defenestration

The world is a red and green apple

Filled with filthy fat worms that feed

Devouring through the very core

Biting through the poisonous seeds

Their disgusting corruption rotting the fruit

Putrid lies turning white to brown in between

Skinny worms in ties, obese worms in suits

The world is an apple; green as greed, red as sin.

Holes in the bloody flag that’s weakly flapping

Tattered with bullet shots loudly ringing

From the guns of the new revolution

From the screams of the freedom unborn

The justice system also had huge holes marked on it

And everyone can no longer endure this deficit

And they hope one day innocents will not receive endless death rows

And the guilty will not be awarded with thrones and golden bows.

~*~

Little black spider, in the middle of the web

Do you have power and greed in your head?

Dare you play with the connected strings of fate?

Strum the fragile threads a bit too violently, you simply cannot wait

Until it falls apart and falls to the ground in a ruinous state

And drags you along with destruction that you brought with your hate.

~*~

Locked doors were everywhere, and you had the key

The key to huge power, the key to utter success

You unlocked everything from the lands and the seas

Recklessly leaving doors open in a whirlwind of mess

You unlocked people’s minds, but there’s one thing you forgot

In your haste you forgot to unlock your very soul and heart.

Jigsaw puzzles, doesn’t society just love them

A million pieces of scattered shapes, ready to be built into a system

And people do seem to want to fit into the big picture

Changing everything from their looks, their emotions, their features

But these naive people never knew the truth, no one had the sense nor heart

To tell them that the jigsaw puzzle was never complete from the start.
