alienation

they say that friends

are good, but all they

do is build up and hurt

i just don’t understand it

i guess i’m just another kid

with a spaced-out mind who

doesn’t belong to this planet.

Plastic Puppy

i toss a toy

quite randomly

to mollify you

amusement spreads

like wildfire

on your chubby face

“dog”, you utter

quite unsurely,

face crinkled in confusion

i smile and say “yes,

dog goes ruff!”

emitting a growl

and the best bark i can do

at the last part

you laugh;

cheery sound breaking

my internal bedlam

repeat “dog!”

and hold the toy

closer to my face

where i could kiss it

in the same way you did

and so i do;

and then i clamp it

in between my mouth

and attack you with tickles

barking and laughing

as you squeal in delight

and the plastic toy

falls away

as we both fall over

in silliness and happiness

on that pastel pink

adorable owl-spangled bed

giggling widely…

this is a nonsensical tale

no one wants to bite

but we are truly barking mad,

aren’t we, child?

Pretty Girls Don’t Deserve Movie Seats

Tell me what you want until it hurts, I’ll hang myself in lights
And I will glow for you, the colour, oh my god it sends you
Spinning on this circus ride, we’re farther than we’ve ever been
Stuck in zero gravity we laugh (I think we’re in over our heads…)

~*~

That rasp in your sweet nothings

Tastes like a glitch in the system

Harmed soul so genuinely poetic

I’m catching your heat by a stem

Palm trees and fireworks colours

No alcohol takes away the effects

Of your fingertips, in dreams sour

I can’t sleep to conjure pink death

Cigarette burns on my wrist sting

The dark sunset behind is glaring

Silver rings intertwined your skin

Your confession was not for a sin

I wish I had someone else willing

To disappear with me, I escaping

In pencil lead grey, floral emotion

Victorian ceilings, high as passion

Pray for pain until it starts to hurt

So fall for me, as I’ll crash for you

Local scenes with a reckless spurt

Southern boys paint their sky blue

Against the monochrome filmstrips

Of a grainy romance noir yacht trip

Plastic props and makeup mayhem

Directing takes in a chaotic tandem

I swear both my martyrs eyes’ll haze

Carry me home to a castle lush gazed

You promised me turbulence or spite

It’s a blessing and a curse, can’t deny

You recognise every smile of the sun

Interplay with constellations on a kite

I’ll be the indigo dawn, spilled as I run

Resolutions on a backseat reel tonight

And under the shadow we will whisper

Exchanged melting hearts soft as butter

Whiskey and sobered, on velvet theatre

As exit signs glowed red like a hangover

Tomorrow, I’ll be too wasted with lights

But oh no, I just don’t care about heaven

And if I have the chance to hang myself

On the moon, for you love I’ll do it again.

~*~

I can’t deny it’s getting worse
Trust me, it’s a blessing and a curse
Call me if you’re crashing, we’ll take turns
Hello, welcome to Southern California
Now go back home!

Tissue Sketches #2: sugar skies and coffee cup moon

Night falls like java spilling over napkins

Cappuccino milky way in haziest dreams

Mocha kissed stars, amidst latte galaxies

Warmth colliding chills, espresso affinities

I’m addicted to caffeine, and the sky’s a café

No wonder it always makes me stay past late.

Mock the Weak: PG Edition

You call me a bitch like it’s a bad thing
You call me a freak, like that means something
Can’t get your way, so you’re so pissed off!
I think we know the rest, but get it off your chest!

~*~

Cross me, pin me on one

See you at my crosshairs

Crossroads, wrong paths

So deal with me, you dare

Maybe you’ll stop staring

With a frown on your face

When you stop swimming

On the shit that you made

Oh I’m sorry, am I too rude?

Well fuck, I don’t care, I say

I inherited this crap attitude

From your gene pool anyway

If you got stupid issues, then

Just mail it to press release

Don’t turn a knife on my skin

To scratch latest news piece

You’re slipping on delusions

Get a grip, start being sober

Your power’s just disillusion

Sorry, but your game is over

‘Cause you just can’t piss off

A man who’s really having fun

And you can’t fuck over a guy

Who in the first place, is done.

~*~

I don’t give a shit
I love it when you call me a bitch
Like it’s a bad thing!
