Equidistant Spirits

In another severed place, in another timeline

I’m burdened with partial problems, vying to depart so that I’d feel okay

In another heart, in another soul that captured mine

I’m weighed down with temporal nightmares but you make me want to stay.

Stellar Blues

I’ve never dreamt of mere earthen vessels

To be cast upon the velvet midnight skies

Rocket engines and metal and satellite links

Floating amongst planets and gaseous fires

But now they’ve all become an inconceivable reality

So perhaps I could dream a little bit bigger than just pocket-sized hues

I would like, perhaps someday, to live out my fantasy

Of sailing out on a spaceship and reaching out for a star named you.
