and by this time, you won’t exist, i swore

no, you won’t plague my mind forevermore

dread my old heart, douse my poor soul

yellow my pages nor haunt each dark corridor

.

catafalque cry, though i’ll crave you naught

iridescent make-believe, yet still left distraught

zealous catharsis, letters stored away to rot

eschars where you used to sleep and play god

keep not sacrificing common sense for a predictable plot.

Into the Depths of Tartarus

Exhaustion burns madly beneath my temple, at your ever-cunning sacrifice

Of an artificial religion, set the final scene and throw dead blackbirds and rice

To appease the ancient gods thundering malicious incantations inside my skull

Kneeling before your hide, my coldest blood at the altar; do not be appalled

I shall pray in our devotion, mute out the shrieks of steel against ivory bone

And carve out your grecian name in monuments, of a wanderer set in stone

To dispel the seas and calm their fury, to capture lost angels within my grasp

Crush their wings as I assemble your own, and let the underworld be my only judge.

Blood Will Have Blood

The reverent situation embellished in derelict plinths

A monolithic monument for the glorious and the bold

Calm deceit that shackled itself by the crumbling base

Of the cavalier and honourables, now but history aged

Voices of the casualties pilfered from pernicious graves

What must be forgotten is an imprint of those who saved

The damned beaten down into the ground from which they lay

Sacrificing blood so clockwork eyes may live to see another war-bent day.

the punctured spare tyre

a crippling sensation

masticating the walls of

my sovereign heart

a pendulum beat, a second

of apologies, that a lie

could never restart

intrepid decisions reveal

mistakes skewed by

colluding increments

the truth is verbatim and

reality’s imagination

is merely dark figments

impervious to quaintness

and jubilance and

optimistic butterfly whispers

interrogations turned to

awkward interludes

with a scowling stranger

my company is not the best

as my skyward eyes

are crashing to the ground

and every sacrifice is

as palpable as a siren’s

intensifying alluring sound

for the beast is a choleric

tantrum kicking up storms

in this dizzying bruised mind

behind all this laughter

and arrogant jerk banter

there’s only doldrums you’ll find.

Three Wishes

Mortal wishes, the hearty desire

I wish all these doors are on fire

Spinning skull yet in moratorium

Long lines thought an auditorium

.

Mortal wishes, the greed not to die

I wish the scissors would never lie

Vertigo angle yet standing straight

Out of the theatre, over all the wait

.

Mortal wishes, of the soul sacrifice

I wish I could wish more than thrice

Djinn can be cruel, trapped in a bottle

You grant them now, you lost this battle.

Your Sainthood Has Expired

Painted red, my eyes are burning
And still you hide behind the waves
Your silence is haunting
Your words relentless
Burying in…

~*~

You have such a cold lush for reality’s melodramatic

That it’s quickly turning into a peptic acidic emetic

Oh, how I wish I’d be a just a little more sympathetic

But your repulsive leftover pity party’s just severely sick

.

You say I’m the one who slashes my own beating heart

But honey, you sharpen the knife’s dullest blade for me

You say I tore the whirlwind pages of this sordid tale apart

Sorry to say, it was never bound in the first place, sweetie

.

And yes, true enough, everybody needs their saviour

But there’s never anymore halo-clad patient saints to see

So you wear your own revered badges of rusted honour

And if you want your twisted sacrifice, then go and be

.

But just don’t act like you’re clever, undaunted and stainless

Clean and smooth as a tough newly-pressed sheet of steel

‘Cause if there’s anyone that’s talking their broken wings less

It’ll be how you try your hardest to trick with charms and beguile

.

Because nobody that’s even gullible will forever be fooled

By your artifice voice-outs of sisterly concern and helping

You think you’ve played the board, tipped the queen and rook

But in the end, you are the dangling fool left hanging on a string

.

With your concrete shoes weighed down and your sweet cyanide

Your crown of thorns hurting and your loincloth tears all cried

But now your pure angel tongue is numbed, badly desensitised

Dare you run back to the empty church and get it re-canonised?

.

Because your holy gospel is slowly falling apart into sinner shreds

The heavy burden you carry for all of us is leaving you for dead

And your confessions are way past their limit and going overripe

Nonetheless, it’s still less rancid than your self-gratificated pride

.

So you just want to be the good graced ally, humanity’s simple brave fighting soldier?

And you want to be the venerated sacrilegious hero to save everybody’s damned souls?

If you persist to famous martyrdom, then who am I to stop that smoking hot-lead trigger?

And if injury isn’t enough for you, why don’t you go ahead to add insult and take the ultimate fall?

~*~

Scream with the voice of an angel
Lie in the eyes of the gospel
Smile in the face of your victims
Smile for me
This is my last request to you
Hold my breath
I was clutching onto disaster
Hold my breath…

Effigy, Eternity, Eulogy

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye…

~*~

Upon the empty sky, the bad moon has languidly risen

As the endless crying of scarlet raindrops fall and enliven

Buried in a wooden chest, those cold withered lies

Set for the tenebrific night of the ultimate sacrifice

.

Lonely grey tombstone in the dead shriveled garden

And the blackest funeral flowers by its feet further sadden

Massive pentagram crudely drawn in brightest of red

For the allure of the darkness, the man wished to wed

.

He turned upon and left his faltering humanity behind

For the tiniest sliver of false chances to know the feeling of alive

Tragically though, he had also lost his sound of mind

As into the choking abyss he eagerly plunged and dived

.

Exorio; and she materialises, the sombre spirit of solitude

She stares sadly as she passes through his selfish prime

Stopping his heart, possessing his twitching agitated soul

As the rite of passage slows down the impatient tick of time

.

And he thunders loudly in sheer agony and tortuous pain

As the crack of the lighting signals the oncoming bout of rain

The gloomy spirit has evanesced, taken what’s hers—and more

And excavated the very chasm of his deepest fears and core

.

Upon the clearing sky, the bad moon has quickly disappeared

And crimson drops of fettered ruby are no longer feared

All that’s left is a casualty abandoned in the unnoticed anarchy

Rest in peace; here lies a once-good man now possessed by sanity.

~*~

Don’t go around tonight
Well it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise…
