pseudonym

all i made was you

not another myth to spare

don’t fake the truth

you’re not designed to care

.

claustrophobic now

intertwined like spiderwebs

zealous—just jealous

elysiums, but not your name

keeping me barely sane.

fringe

Your face in the glass, and it’s dark now
It was just a laugh, it was just a laugh
It’s whatever you say it is, split infinite…

~*~

a face in

broken glass

a murmur

in the darkness

a prayer in

the shallow sky

sane is lost

to all the madness.

confined

iv line around my neck

needles piercing with a pinch

saline as steady as the flowing blood

working past vein and skin

drip. drip. drip.

on the liquid cycle goes

of crimson and clear

of dehydration and decay

of a sickness and sane

as maddening as the silence

that i take for alternative company

in the four confining walls

of this sterile, whitewashed institution.

Blue Illusion

this friday night

i threw out control and

i drank myself away

until my lips were as blue

as the alcohol i craved

cerulean illusions

faded like fireworks

dancing past my hazy eyes

as i exhaled out slurs

and my breaths collided

with the dim sodium lights

though it isn’t enough

to get me inebriated

and drunk on the colours

but i sure felt hitched

to a temporary heaven

and i sure as hell ain’t sober

razor blades didn’t cut it

so here’s another cure

i’ll prescribe to keep me sane

and i hope these smiling

little breath mints will

help me hide the reek of pain.

Paragon of Humanity

The searing heated cavalry

Simply feels like a paradise to me

And the glorious neurosis

Is a quaint dream of fine vagaries

Suffering ever truculently

Tickles my funny bones to hilarity

Blood of degraded society

Is but a fickled merry game to me

Funerals are a funtime past

An opportunity to rejoice and laugh

Contagious diseases, it must

Be passed on hospitals with scoffs

Mundane traits of ideologies

Are superannuated and wearisome

Axioms but status quo antes

I’ll indoctrinate my manifesto none

I shall rehabilitate this planet

With my ingenuity and a straitjacket

Unstraighten the spinal cords

With sharp wit and charming words

Yes, all my outré predilections

Might be cause for desultory scorn

But the deleterious injections

It renders me numb to any emotion

The world is a damaged beast

And I’m the perfect nouvelle paragon

On this menagerie of heretics

I’m the sanest man you’ll have known.
