New Year, New Year

I’m in the sky tonight, there I can keep by your side
Watching the wide world riot and hiding out
I’ll be coming home next year
Into the sun we climb, climbing our wings will burn white
Everyone strapped in tight, we’ll ride it out
I’ll be coming home next year…

~*~

The arctic wind tastes of a million ethereal memories

Beleaguering the lost sympathy in my jaded brain

Thinking about all the moments I spent under the sun

The nostalgia that I’ve forgotten so they’ll eternally remain

Leading on, leading on, marching this bittersweet repast

Words that strike to the very bone, another reeling line cast

In inkstains and furious scribbles that cross out the world

And I did what they said I couldn’t, and I didn’t do as I was told

To the divine songs I dance along to, that told me “boy, you’re alright”

Passion, emotion, vindication, separation, in notes that alight

Saying hello but never goodbye to the quaint darling heart I gained

And to the kindred souls still there for me despite all the withdrawing pains

Sure enough, the months may not have been a consistent flurry of good

And most times, things don’t really work out the way that they should

Ebony turns an even darker shade, and gelid rain falls in crashing maelstrom seas

And when I rest my head every night, a litany of emptiness is all I can see

But with the hope that I once lost, I can fervently regenerate it again

Celebrating the end of the days with the guys screaming Viva La Hysteria Bien!

And with only the secrets I traded and faded, the things I don’t have to hide

I may be dead somewhere, in another time, but for now I know, at least…I’m still alive.

~*~

Come on get on get on, take it till life runs out
No one can find us now, living with our heads underground
Into the night we shine, lighting the way we glide by
Catch me if I get too high when I come down
I’ll be coming home next year…

eyes wide shut

a severed midnight

taking the calls of a thousand

dreaming souls, fading

.

i wonder if the rain will wash us away

.

drifting into a somnolent embrace

against clashing tides of aegan

until i have sand in between my fingers

breathing in the hawthorn blossoms

.

reaching again until it falls

and stops crying beneath my feet

.

just close your eyes and softly

rest amid sounds of synaptic crickets and

faint traces of chanterelle

between your slightly-open mouth

.

waiting to hold onto forbidden auguries

coalitions of sweeter reveries

i couldn’t find behind your eyelids

.

and then, perhaps, after a million years under

the stars, i’ll open my eyes to revelations

.

the light sleeps on. where can we be alone to watch them?

A Phantom Earl’s Missing Shadow

Two halves of a heart, in a chamber conferred

A though lost in shadows, the coffin of a womb

Two souls rendered apart, deathwish conspired

The first went away, the second did as he desired

.

A past of flames and treachery, daggers blooming red

Family shattered to pieces, innocent boys left for dead

A sacrifice undertaken, and a contract written in blood

Twists and turnstiles turned, execution of the death gods

.

A play set in stone, of clones and four leaf clovers

Names merged together, cascade grey and lavender

A life taken for his own, for the person he thus lost

Never mind the consequences and dignity it has cost

.

The ruse would’ve been clandestine, but the other found out

And he returned to take back the key in the padlock of doubt

Their shock tangibly pulsating, as the reunited twins collided

Truth uncovered from a well of lies, leaving them confounded

.

A story of two rival fates, their inheritance set by a deliberation of wolves

The tale revolves in a case turned cold, and mysteries remained unsolved

Of a  boy and his uncanny copy, what their damned trails may both befell

Whether the end of the story hangs by a thread or a rope, only time will tell.

The Backyard Boneyard

In the backyard where stars are buried

The moonlight’s dim, no spectres solid

Black bats avoid the sharp razor trees

And maggots festered under disease

.

Hell awaits, encased in cold grey stones

From coffins of red and velvet bones

The devils bartering souls for sale

Salvation was but a fairy tale

.

Lost souls vie for their damnable fates

Pray to saints only when it’s too late

Decaying like fruits, plucked rancid fair

Monstrosity farm, ripeness they bear

.

Centuries pass, generations chime

Can’t turn back the decomposing time

Ghosts fed to minds to lead them astray

Again the cycle completes its prey

.

Cemeteries of death and roses

Existences gone with no losses

In the backyard where stars are buried

The moonlight’s lost in shadows solid.

Castigations

Talk candy in my ear, come on, come on
I want your toxic, talk sick baby
I know those gospel lips can change me
Look to the right of my okay?
We got exhibit “A″, she, she ain’t okay today…

~*~

Coronary seductions are tart, let’s play a fun fucking game

As you mess up the combinations, I’ll hook up on my brain

Stalactites of sinner spit and cold sick stains on the carpet

Tortured strains of dinner hits, but don’t blame the peeved pet

Incendiary souls sparking and dancing on a shower of alcohol

Gaslight and butane wars, that’s all it’ll mandate for you to fall

Avuncular terrorisation, but you’re getting a little too touchy

That’s enough from the queen of hearts and the king of babies

I understand this is against a chilling breeze, a carnival ride wrought for two

Only I get motion sickness too easily to please, and I’m already sick of you

Nasty, I know, just enough to make candid heavens whip their backs and cry

Still, if this story didn’t have a laughable tragic ending, then I wouldn’t even try.

~*~

The last contendent
Bad for us, bad for you
This capillary root could root up
All the little puzzle pieces
Of what you’ve been through…

The Ballad of the Arrogant Hearts

THE BALLAD OF THE ARROGANT HEARTS: VENTRICLE

Prologue Eins:

Tear it down! Break the barricade!
I wanna see what sound it makes
I hate this flavour with a passion
And I fucking hate the aftertaste!
How does it feel? How does it feel?
Well, it feels like I’m on fire!
Wake up, I know you can hear me…

~*~

I.) A Senseless Stardom And A Playwright’s Pain.
.

Bury me by the open venetian windows, where I can visit you every night

You know my anatomy like a circus act, but you turned off the spotlight

My pavement kiss tastes harsh, but the scissors accentuate my sacrifice

You deceive and desecrate me far too often, but shit, I’ll never suffice

.

Pose like a drunk pubescent actress, come on Marilyn, show some emotion

Every boy watching television shall receive your desperate transmissions

A noose of flowers and confection confessions melting on your tongue

Your affections were transgressions, but you’re so pretty when you run

.

I used to write letters and poetry, but now for you, I only write obituaries

Don’t be sorry for little orphan Annie whose cellar is her own sanctuary

I’m a vagabond, you’re a bastard child, we’re a match made in angel hell

Inferno strikes under our tangled veins and the paradise the demon sells

.

You were memorising phone numbers like it’s the digits on my credit card

If there was a prize for a comely crass drama queen, you’ll win that award

Ignorance might be your best friend, but I’ve been dating her for ten long years

It’s a violent explosion of distractions and disappointment in second gear

.

As they all say, fuck the love, we’re in this game for the fame and money

Toasting our dead hearts with cocaine and expired 20 dollar champagne

I’ll scream for help, sabotage! Please don’t murder me with pleurisy baby!

And if I cry in my sleep, then you will know that I’m still dancing from pain…

THE BALLAD OF THE ARROGANT HEARTS: AORTA

Prologue Zwei:

Make me a promise here tonight!
Love like a tidal wave
Dreamless in early graves
I never want it to be this way
The chemicals will bring you home again
This is it, when it’s done, we can say that
When it’s sudden death we fight back!

II.) Confessions Of A Mad Stranger To An Inebriated Lover.

I confess by the altar, this is my last testament and surrendering admonition

Two souls like an orchestra, and I’ll conduct this symphony of destruction

I’m the only menace to your fugitive life, a key witness and an accomplice

I got scar evidence to lock you behind diamond bars for a million years

.

You said it wasn’t a crime to feel, but the police are banging down my door

I promised I’d be just a little more sorry, but it’s just been a vulture’s chore

This turbulence in New Jersey, this fucking turbulence is beautiful for me

I may be deleterious and despondent, but your Europe eyes are a mystery

.

I can smell clashing bitter bourbon and saccharine chocolate in your breath

You sicken me, but I feel better by shutting the closet doors and drinking late

Towed away in our underwater love, and I’ll be drifting away to abyssal death

But if I escape hell, I’ll sneak back into heaven for free, so don’t close the gate

.

Don’t pay for your blessing, just grind the forest ax and damn, don’t hesitate

The big bad wolf will rend you to shreds if you swing away a second too late

Stuttering from the piercing bullet bites and the blizzard cold on your tattoos

Though I’m taking, I’m taking, I’m f-f-fucking taking back Saturday from you

.

The jagged edges of your dress are wounding me badly as we’re locked in final embrace

Weighed down and singing our tainted names under the concrete rain like a disgrace

I know I’m a stupid motherfucker, thinking that with eternal hate, I’ll never be left alone

But darling, I’ll leave the answering machine on all night, in case you decide to come home.

Two Different Scenarios

War and peace

Monochrome

Opposites

Juxtaposed

.

War goes on

Halos dim

Angels fall

Demons win

.

Peace ensues

Hearts triumph

Souls kindled

That’s enough.

Unravelling Lullaby

She paints in grey, she closes her eyes
Till fireworks and palm trees almost look alike
She looks up to me and whispers
“I won’t be here in a year…”

~*~

The twist of fate unravels, stitches of a life once so twizzled

As two souls were dancing against the beating rain and drizzle

Onto the soft night’s calm, phantom piano playing Debussy

Lively bright tunes mingling with darker whispers of secrecy

.

Isabelle twirls playfully and fiddles with her flowered hair

Laughing politely at first and asking for stories and silly dares

But vulnerable here in the open fields, she dares not anymore to lie

And starts sobbing harshly against the tinkling music box lullaby

.

The shadows held her closer, the stars wept silver stardust

Sprinkling glitters everywhere, beautiful tears of care and trust

Vespertine symphony plays, and their shattered hearts were mended

And the barbed wires that choked their bruised necks were also slowly unraveled.

~*~

…Isabelle hides so I could find my way
I’d give anything just to surround your dreams…

Amaranthine (A Never Ending Loop)

(A first attempt at making a really deep and dark poem…and I  failed badly. This poem is somewhat free verse, and sorry if it’s unclear or unorganized or you couldn’t really understand it. P.S. Sorry I disappeared for, like, months. But anyways. On with the poem~)

~*~

As the lost souls in hell cry out in remorse;

The paucity of those who weep

Yet they’re trapped there until they are silenced

And forever may be over by then

.

Whilst we live, perfunctory and controlled

Bounded by the chains we carry for eternity

With our souls, colder than the winter rain

As our delirious mind reaches out in vain

.

And our dark hearts, untouched and bleak

Cold and empty, like the endless abyss

Our thoughts disguised, devoid, and consumed

Our feelings washed out, poisoned, removed

.

But the rage crashing inside us, cruel, volatile and wild

The things we choke down, the words we strangle off

Yet the agony and torture we choose, the emotions we exiled

And this residue remains, imprints, marks, leftover pain

.

Withered flowers, puppeted by the cruel winds

Bends and dances with the songs of our sins

And the blades of the unforgiving wind cuts through our skins

As we feel the harshness of our own mistakes

.

Pained spirits gaze of into the boundless skyline

The voices of the Seraphs echoing in the evanescing sunshine

And they sing, grave and cacophonic, varying requiems

As our deathbed awaits, bitter, harsh, quiescent

.

We breath our last dying breaths with a scent of regret

And we finally leave this world and enter the graves we dug up

With no one to care, and no one to grieve, we lay until we rot

This was the final fate our lives had met

.

Our souls get pulled into a place of chaos and madness

We get thrown away in an endless river of misery and nightmares

We get drenched with pain and torture, the hurt seeping through our bones

And we finally end up, one with the lost, crying, wandering souls.
