Rebound

Too much animosity
Nobody does it better than the enemy
A hope like yours won’t help me now
You can do your worst to me
At the end of the day, that’s what you do best…

~*~

Call me only when your mind is fucked

Say “I love you” and I won’t say it back

Keep your hands to yourself, take it slow

Your orphan eyes won’t be my deathblow

.

Call me only when your eyes are red as day

Still high from crying, smoke the pain away

Knock on my door for three weeks straight

Be a sidewalk stray, love, know I won’t wait

.

Call me only when you need someone else

To be your plastic pleasure, I wish you well

Kill yourself drunk to crave yourself sober

I’ll only really be here to tell you it’s all over.

~*~

I wasn’t enough
You bled me dry, which way is up?
Oh, you’re a lie, and fake
I hope the truth is not too late
That’s what you do best!

The Diary Of Jane; or Three Excerpts

i.) him; or the rest of the infinite lie

Try to find out what makes you tick
As I lie down, sore and sick
Do you like that, do you like that?
There’s a fine line between love and hate
And I don’t mind, just let me say
That I like that, I like that…

revenge is colder than the dark ocean

that you carelessly left me to drown in

fill the chasm with the rest of my blood

and take warmth in my spiteless jealousy

as you want to make me bow down to you

but i’m carried away by your fading current

the horizon bends but never breaks the weight

is there another way to hold on to the sky again?

~*~

ii.) her; or the story no one wanted to tell

Desperate, I will crawl
Waiting for so long
No love, there is no love
Die for anyone
What have I become?

she’s sore and sick from all the fine red lines

her penned diaries have been burned to ashes

and no one tells her how it should be—or why

desperation ascending from her spine and body

“why don’t you die?” the windows were fogged

when she took her own life in that late autumn night

but no one wanted to cry tears for a corpse in a closet

so they buried her the best they could to keep her quiet…

~*~

iii.) them; or the guilt that burned a house

Something’s getting in the way
Something’s just about to break
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane
As I burn another page, as I look the other way
I still try to find my place in the diary of Jane
So tell me how it should be…

the front porch is swollen with pink lightning bugs

the coffee’s cold, but i stopped drinking it long ago

i don’t want morning light to catch up with my sins

i have things in my head that they cannot ever know

so i write a final letter to dear agony, forget to sign it

but it’s never enough to keep my head from screaming

the gunshots should have disturbed their sleeping sister

but she’s not here anymore. i’m sorry. let’s just get this over

about you enough to

if you don’t care

about me enough to

Somnolence

I want you to swim past

Beyond the scattered polaroids

Covering up the linoleum floor

.

And I want you to breathe in

The memory of my lost phantasm

.

Drown as if your sleeping sternum

Was nothing but a mere tidal wave

And simply taste the particles of glass

That fall on your skin like dying snow

.

They’ll whisper secrets, will you take it to your grave?

.

I want your hands to feel numb

From the frozen stars asunder

I want your eyes to feel scorched

From the sunflowers dipped in gold

I want you to feel s o m e t h i n g

.

And I want you to tell me

How it all feels to you

Would you tell me how it feels?

.

Will you please tell me

What it’s like to feel?

out there

“The great beyond”

Is just the foolish lie

That charlatans and

Simpleminded folks

Tell to make-believe

That you can still do

What they all failed to

Achieve on their own.

Janus and the Beast

There’s nothing like a trail of blood
To find your way back home
And nothing feels as cold inside as heaven down below
I’ve been lost and never found, afraid
To speak my truth out loud
With empty hands I came into this world
And I’ll leave just the same…

~*~

Blood smeared on the walls

Like the smiles on your two faces

Taunting a mechanical reaction

Of storms and clever rhetorics

That died of natural causes

.

But the truth is far from you

This miserable incineration

Of my outer demons breaking

Leaving the scar issues making

News all over my gossipy skin

.

And my migraine’s headlining

Medications inventing versions

Of the story no one wants to tell

Stigmata leaving sensible stigmas

Bitter bidding angels wish you hell

.

Blood smeared all over the walls

Like the frowns on your two faces

Making a cruel definition agreed

Of cyclones and asinine comebacks

That revived the primal nature in me.

~*~

Death, you cannot take me, you’ve tried and failed before
With everything so deafening, each breath worth fighting for
I refuse to be your casualty ’cause pain has its reward
No longer trapped in agony, you cannot take me, I survive the storm…

Fine Lines and White Lies

Am I out of line

To tell you that

You’re not fine?

You tossed the

Agony and put

Away from time

You jumped off

The deep edge

Of the blue bed

And like pastel

Lipstick of pink

You badly bled

And you nearly

Drowned on the

Alcohol bottles

That litter your

Floor like a pub

Late hour battle

You resolved all

Of the inane and

Sordid of issues

Within dangling

Knives alongside

Smeared tissues

Desperation and

Backyard dances

Nights are silver

Run from the sun

In the throes of a

Haunted summer

Ransack this place

Find me or free me

From titanium walls

You trip out of love

Everything’s ok, but

Nobody even calls

I’ve saved someone

And left them alone

Is that a cold crime?

And am I out of line

By confessing that

You can’t ever be mine?

The Liars’ Roll Call

They tell you to keep drinking

When you’re tired of one cup

They tell you to keep breathing

When you simply want to stop

They tell you to keep speaking

When you’ve already shut up

They tell you to keep falling

When you’re already on top

They tell you to keep fighting

When you’re shouting enough

And they tell you to keep living

When all you wanna do is give up.
