On My Way Home

The once-blooming red roses on your grave are starting to wilt

The gossamer petals slowly sifting away, along with my guilt

I wipe my tears and cease my painful cries

Because now is the time for me to finally say goodbye

And as you spread your celestial wings, break free, and fly

I too, shall remove my chains and shackles, and really try

To walk the right and lighted path, and even though I’m alone

Perhaps this time, maybe…I’ll finally make it home.

Poem Shorts: Insanity Alice’s Reveries

~*~

~inSANITY ALICE’S CHANT~

A dead rabbit in a hole

A tea party in an asylum

The night skies as dark as coal

As wonderland loses its momentum.

~*~

~inSANITY ALICE’S WONDERFUL CREATION~

I told them all about Wonderland, my most powerful creation

Created simply by a vivid mind and a colourful imagination

Yet they don’t seem to understand my genius citations

Because next thing I know, I’m sedated and put in an asylum.

~*~

~inSANITY ALICE AND THE WHITE QUEEN’S CHAT~

My my, dear White Queen, how have you been?

As wonderland crashes down, you simply sat staring

Using us as mere pawns for your dark and twisted games

But one wrong move…and checkmate, now you burn in eternal flames.

~*~

~inSANITY ALICE AND THE RED QUEEN’S CHAT~

Oh my, it’s the Red Queen, how simply divine!

How’s your broken life right now? I assume not fine

How’s that noose holding up? Is it cold and breezy there?

Oh wait, my bad, I forgot you’re already burning in hell.

~*~

inSANITY ALICE’S ROSE PAINTINGS~

Tainting the pure white with a dark crimson red

The lustrous paint provided by my enemies that are already dead

Dripping from the roses into the growing puddle of blood

On the ground where the bodies lay, and all the corpses flood.
