Paradise Under the Moonlight

In the night, the stormy night
She closed her eyes
In the night, the stormy night
Away she’d fly…

~*~

Into the dark

Where no marks trace elegant

Soft shafts

Of moon past starry eye scant

I didn’t expect

The glitter dancing on my skin

But I love how

They twirl and glow among kin

Wind chimes

I lost myself in the paper garden

In the closet

And I will explore it all over again

The crevasse

Of the blood red moon convolute

It’s so beautiful

Like a melody on a bamboo flute

This planet, it’s

Merely spinning, never breathing

And it’s time to

Remove the blindfold of oxygen

I can’t fly with

Gravity ripping all my hope apart

I can’t swim in

Sulphur seas and broken hearts

So instead I’ll

Wear the colours on my sleeves

And leap out

From the mirror’s edge to leave

I will run away

For another chance at paradise

Don’t find me

‘Cause you can only enter twice.

~*~

And dreamed of
Para, para, paradise
Para, para, paradise
Para, para, paradise
Every time she closed her eyes…

Viva Angelica

Your shoulder blades

Peaked like angel wings

From your back

As you wore a pink

Jumper ten sizes too

Large for you

And laughed it off

With a musical pout

And a wave of that

Oversized candy sleeve.

.

Doleful, not sullen

With pixie dust eyes

That intoxicate with a

Mischievous wink

Your strawberry blonde

Hair was your crown

Traipsing lighter than

Flying dandelions

And you were like

A fiction fairy.

.

My astringent angel

How fickle you are

A star amidst flowers

In a field of dreams

You make me wonder

Why not all ethereal

Creatures ascend to

Heaven, and yet you

Make me feel quite

Thankful for it.

A Hypocrite’s Hell

Filthy hypocrite;

The rancid words

That you shiv on me

Your blood and flesh,

Are just as sugary

As the sweet nothings

You whisper to

The boys you play

With every night.

Either way, both are

Deceiving blades

That disorient our

Sensibility and make

Us crave for heat.

You’re connivingly

Talented, I’ll give you that.

Filthy hypocrite;

Why don’t you dress

For decency when

You face us, yet

Wear your finest

Wardrobe for your

2 AM excursions?

It’s all about superficial

Identity, and you

Harass us for opinions

When we don’t care

If you paraded across

Town looking like a

10 million dollar diva

Or a homeless rag whore

Clothes can’t hide

Your monstrosity

Anymore, you see?

Filthy hypocrite;

Be less concerned

About the way

You look to others

And start caring

Not about the

Mindless materialism,

Or cash, but just

Actually give a

Damn about us.

Not like I’d expect

It anytime soon

But it would be

Quite nice for once.

Filthy hypocrite;

You’re the poison

That cripples my veins

The shitty anxiety

That never rests

The repressing memory

That suffocates,

Trying to stop the

Strangers that keep

Me fucking alive

And yet you say

You’re only helping,

You only want

The best for me

Well if you want to,

Then let me just

fucking breathe.

Filthy hypocrite;

I’m supposed to

Appreciate the way

You act, and I’m

Supposed to love

You unconditionally,

Yet here I am,

With a loathing and

Death wishes and

Malevolence that

Throbs behind my

Eyes wholeheartedly…

It’s funny, isn’t it?

And yet no one’s laughing.

Not me, not the knives,

Not the hate you branded

On the undersides of

Our petulant brains.

You think I’m smiling,

But it’s called gritting

My teeth and biting

My tongue to shreds,

Haven’t you noticed?

So, filthy hypocrite;

Laugh it off, won’t you?

It’s advantageous to

Your moral decay

And human indecency

An a smile faker than

Eating plastic surgery,

But at least you’re

Content in gloating

Over how parasitically

Charming you are,

Fucking happy over

You and your shining

Pathetic status quo.

cardboard nightmares from san diego

Failing lights amass
One hundred sleepless nights
And I might be holding on too tight
But there’s a beast in my heart
And he won’t let you leave alive…

~*~

i can’t sleep

your narcotic songs

serenading

the darkness

like strong coffee,

like an addicting pill,

like my eternal fix

that keeps

me craving as

it doesn’t

leave me hanging,

are keeping me

up again.

with a blanket

for a noose

and blacktop

curtains lacing

my hazy nightmares,

the bracelets

you tore off your

lungs constricting

tearing at the

glitch in my

stupid beating heart

as sanguine souls

fended them

all away.

the delusional

circus polluting my

mind like

strangers at a

i feel like i’m

eating cardboard

and liquid nitrogen

through the

hole in my chest,

and it makes

me sophisticated

even though

the tines on my

fork are being

held by the monster

in my head.

i feel like

i’m cheating

as i begin to

see stars

on the ceiling,

in zero gravity

spinning madly

to make the

cracks and paint

peel disappear;

but heaven didn’t

anticipate to

sacrifice halogen

lights just so

i can waste it

on you.

hallucinatory visions;

the stavanger sky

that glowed

with pitch black

and stole my

knives for me,

the colourless eyes

that left their

suicide note on

the underside of

the mattress,

the tattoos that

painted themselves

against but they

pierced the

wrong skin,

the hounding

of the astral voices

screaming my

lullabies for me

like choirs

of a wasteland,

my thoughts

constructed like

a kindergarten artwork

with messy hands

and a vestige

posed irrationality,

everything…

it’s fucking me up.

of you and your

you’re fucking me up.

leave my

This is the price you’ll pay

Iris

You’re suffocating my hope,

And yet you cannot decipher

Asphyxiating unconsciously

Why, are you blinded forever?

.

You’re strangling my emotion,

I’ve seen myself in the mirror

And noticed what you missed

Why, can’t you see it’s all over?

.

You’re choking the life out of life,

I always knew you were visceral

I blinked and it all crashed down

Have my eyes always been purple?

Go On and Give the World a Show

1.) Your mind is boiling bleeding bending screaming and that motherfucker is doing nothing but saving your watercolour tears in a crystalline vial and using it to paint your evocative portrait in his dollar store canvas.

2.) Your heart is cursing complaining coronary sedating and those bastards are doing nothing but taking your severed arteries for the next transplant performance to entertain surgeons, scaramouches, and curious sickos.

3.) Your soul is pulsing pirouetting paralysing sacrificing and this asshole is doing nothing but pasting your flattened cardboard spine into an unused oak guitar and singing hypocritically about his next hit tragedy.

4.) You are woeful whimsical winning simply synesthetic and the critics did nothing but make you infamous and indomitable as you rose against their vehement volatile tidal waves and triumphantly held your billowing flag on the blue moon.

Demesne

after wasting

perspiration,

heaving in

respiration,

and hiking

with severe

exhaustion,

we reach our

ultimate

destination.

and in those

tranquil

moments,

humming

songs with

the algid

soothing

waters up

to my

trembling

toes and knees,

sitting by

a mossy

boulder

on the

lassitude

banks

next to the

effervescent

spilling

waterfall

—glistening

and gossamer

as it falls in

crashes and

myriad riots

of liquid

iridescence—

surrounded

by verdant

foliage and

halcyon

greenery,

in a misty

forest deep

in the heart

of the virgin

mountain,

untroubled

in solitude

and playing in

a faux paradise…

i’ve never

felt more

invincible.

Civ and Cent

I’m so deluded

By your mirror

In the stones

When I met

You, suddenly

I was alone

Wit that stabs

Souls in and

The corner wall

Words that glow

Coalesced as

It quaintly falls

The stars will

Be yours for

The taking

You look sick

But I thought

You’re faking

Floral shirts

Faded trousers

And fixed hair

What happened

To the cap boy

Without a care?

But somehow

The bloodstains

Appear better

Than your silver

Nosering and

Black sweater

A voice as soft

As linen and

Cotton pillows

You change

The pulse that

The wind billows

On blurs of

Bowling balls and

Pinball machines

Waltzing girls

That knock you

Like bowling pins

You drive me

Off the cliff and

Onto the sun

The boy with

Misadventures

And on you stun.

It spread like a virus

As potent as poison

As deadly as venom

Touch contamination

It spread like plague

And hurt me like hell

But it worked a charm

Healed me like a miracle.

Cinderella Stars

You’re busy drawing hearts
You run your fingers down the glass
An open mirror
Now you’re sleeping in the front seat
Like a crushed leaf on the concrete night—
Tonight the center of the sun will separate in sparks
They’re climbing up the sky and down the dark…

~*~

Just let the sky fall one more time

Kiss my Cinderella stars goodnight for me

It’s a stubborn weather, but baby it doesn’t matter

There’s a rule in my tongue and a reverie

We never chased—we collided angrily

All that vitriol, it hurts under the skin to see

You were always late for the crystalline ball

The stiletto shards lodged in the eventide hall

But we’ll play dress up with crowns and monarchy

The night is sempiternal, never ending at twelve

Hold your fairy close, pumpkin, don’t be sorry

This is only a tale mended by rats and elves

Maybe the clock will rewind back to the 70’s

Under moonlight, you’ve never looked so sublime

So kiss my Cinderella stars goodbye for me

And let the sky fall one more time.

~*~

Now we broke another bracelet
Tore it off your wrist tonight
And now that Cinderella’s gone
She swallowed up the sun
A middle-class explosion would be nice
If we’re the dynamite…
